It was a failed experiment that I tried. One of the posters involved in that thread thought I was making them look bad by doing that. Also it sent the wrong message that it was okay to insult people in some threads but not others. The very next time I had to edit a personal insult in a thread I recieved a PM asking why I was allowing Papa G and Zags to insult people but not them.

Earlier this week a S2 member suggested that we create a thread for those two to argue in. In response to that suggestion I linked to the Papa G and Zags argument thread showing them that we've tried that before and it didn't work. Someone else besides Papa G and Zags posted in that thread and it got bumped and active. It was a mistake on my part to create that thread and it was a mistake on my part for not closing it.

S2 pretty much only has two rules, no personal insults and because of the Minnesota trolls, no posting dick pics. Papa G and Zags know this. I have PM'd them numerous times asking them to stop. I even invited them out to lunch to try and get them to make peace. They have also been told in different threads to please stop. Just they other day in the Summer League Grades thread there was over 100 posts of them insulting each other. It's grown out of hand.

Nate, Barfo, Brian, Ed O and I have our own private forum that was started because of the Minnesota troll invasion to discuss problems in the forum. There has been a long discussion about what to do with Papa G and Zags if they keep throwing out personal insults. This wasn't just a case of a mod snapping and randomly start banning people. We knew they would be right back posting under different monikers. We know that some of you are going to be upset over this but we're not sure what else to do. The personal, wife, girlfriend and kids insults needs to stop.

It comes down to this, the staff in the Blazer forum have tried many many things to get them to stop breaking pretty much the only rule this forum has. Editing posts, deleting posts, PMing them, trying to bribe them, etc. All we're asking them to do is one thing, stop with the personal insults.

PapaG this was a reply to a question about your suspension. Maybe it will help to answer some of the questions you have.
 
Yeah, don't think you claim you were baited if you were PMd and repeatedly told to stop. Is there an Internet Victim Anonymous Group? It could help here.

I was never PM'd either. I saw a thread of Zags and me opened up in OT, and figured it was an open invitation to continue the hilarity.

Sly, I understand why you did it, but maybe you could clue in NateBishop03, the now "in-hiding" mod, as to why you did it before he threw his latest hissy fit and finally snapped when he wasn't getting enough attention for being a moderator. :dunno:
 
One of the mods has posted repeatedly that he PMd each of you several times with warnings, and that's why you were both banned. You both deny receiving the warnings. Who's lying?
