Petteri!

I don't see any harm in trying to get the kid on the roster next year. Kick Mills to the curb and open up a spot Petteri.

I would be especially keen if that meant Portland didn't sign Blake in the off season.

Poor Blake. So reviled for the simple crime of being mediocre ... but I tend to agree.

Koponen returned to Bologna in the beginning of the playoffs after spending the first weeks of his rehab session in Helsinki, Finland.

What? Who the hell does he think he is, rehabbing at home? He should be behind the bench, supporting his team! What a loser!

Ok I am just going to throw this out there. Goran Dragic didn't look like a whole lot when he came into the league either. But then again, he got to play and learn from Steve Nash.

I think if Petteri is anywhere near the level of Goran Dragic (good vision, a pretty good shooter, with good size for the position) then I think he could fit in very well, my biggest question marks are his athleticism ability to hang defensively in the NBA ... who knows, maybe we'll find out one day.

So, if Petteri goes to the Suns, he'll be fine?

Nobody has stated the obvious reason Bayless was traded: to make room for PETTERI!

Well, maybe not. But he had a good game in a loss today. Here's a translation of his Italian League page.

One thing's a bit odd: he's supposed to be a "playmaker" but has registered 0 assists so far, but a lot of three pointers. As I know from my own eyes that he is a better PG than Bayless, I'm guessing they're playing him at the 2.

Petteri's still big in Finland. Although it's not clear who's star of this commercial - him or his girlfriend:

That is one of the most unique languages I have ever heard.

He said something about the NBA. Anyone care to translate? :)

I ran it through the American Indian online translator.

Me lookum good. Me liftum weights. Me makeum orange juice. Me ownum shoes. Me havum acne under ears. Me only one on team without whiskers. Lotsum girls. Me havum trophy that lookum like rising rattlesnake. You likum trophy? Me do girls exercises with legs. Pretty, pretty legs. Me never go anywhere without girls following me. Me missum shot when girlfriend guard me. Shouldum used basketball not rugby ball.

Koponen-mania was so many years ago. How old is he now, 42, 43? It's nice that he's still making the rounds in Europe.

When he was 13. He still looks 13. But you think he's old. Whenever I think of Minstrel I think, "That hairy-chested baritone just doesn't appreciate a new handsome Face of the Blazers when he sees one."

Are you trying to elicit a gendered response from me? Is that what this otherwise baffling response is?

Now that you're a moderator, you'll be getting many baffling remarks from me. Ask Sly and Denny what to do. (They don't know, but ask them.)

And don't ask me what to do, either. It baffles me.

Who woulda thought that McBob is the one Blazer draftee from the 2007 draft to actually pan out? smh

No, but I think my first possibility was correct, thus making it non-baffling.

It's entirely possible that Petteri prefers Finland to the US..over there he's a star, with the Blazers he'd be battling Allan Crabbe for minutes

Dallas has his rights. He'll be battling Fatty Failton.

Except he hasn't played in Finland for years. Italy and now Moscow.
