You can only keep four of these assets and you lose the rest for nothing, who are you keeping...

Went with Camara, walker, gs pick and Rupert.
I feel like with Camara and walker, they've both already shown they can be contributing role players in the league. Let's say 7th, 8th, 9th men types. They've already established an ok floor for themselves, with high level role player upside visible. The types of players that can fit in any lineup.
After that, I'm banking on the upside of Rupert, and the" potential" of whoever is picked with the GS pick.
Don't trust injury history of Williams. Love Matisse, but think he is basically what he is. At least the other role players have youth on their side?
I'm betting on potential of Rupert over Murray. Banton is a weird one. A lot to like, plenty not to. Is this all a good stats on a shit team run? Is a guy who needs the ball to be effective, but doesn't project as a star the best keeper alongside Sharpe and Scoot?

Samsies. You're speaking what I'm thinking.

I think there's a ton to be optimistic about. Just don't really care much to post about it.

I'm excited about the future with Scoot, Shae, Bari, Rupes, Camara, etc.

You posting positivity would be out of character!

Marang said the Blazers have no intentions of keeping the GSW pick. Cronin has big plans to trade his draft capital for something super duper.

though... Danny is always wrong, so keep scouring the draft thread

And Cronin hasn’t really shown to make impactful trades.

if the Warriors pick was excluded from the equation, I'd go with Walker-Camara-Rupert-Banton. If the pick has to be one of the 4 in some Tincey-do-it-my-way-or-die sophie's choice I'd shed Banton

in the real world, Cronin and the Vukcans aren't going to ditch 3 more years of rookie scale with Murray

at the same time, the Blazers currently have the 5th-13th-34th-41st picks in the draft and there's no way they add 4 more rookies. So there will almost certainly be consolidation trades. In a draft with no real front-runners, could the 5th+13th move into the top-3? Could the 34th+41st move into the 1st round?

The Blazers currently have 4 2024 draft picks (2 1st rounders and 2 2nd rounders).

They have 4 players with non-guaranteed money next year:
- Walker
- Camara
- Banton
- Brown

I'm guessing Brown is gone to make room for the Blazers 1 round pick.

They probably aren't willing to let Walker or Camara walk just to make room for that GSW 1st round pick. It makes sense that they trade that pick (along with a player) to upgrade a position.

Then they need to decide where their 2 2nd round rookies will land. Perhaps they could sign the 2 2nd picks to 2-way contracts (Let Hagans & Minaya go). If not, Banton seems like the odd man out.

Yeah the GS pick is difficult to evaluate since we don't know where it will land. Right now the mock draft I am looking at
https://www.tankathon.com/mock_draft has them at 13. If they fall to 17 there seems to be a drop off.

If we keep the pick and go for a backup center then I move Williams

If Rupert has the potential to be as good of a defender as Matisse then I would keep Rupert

I'm not willing to give up on Walker and Camara yet. So those two for sure.

I'm really glad we have all of the pieces and don't have to pick just four of them. I'm hoping we can get some value out of Rob in the off season. I am hoping that the team is planning on building around Scoot and Shae and will be moving Ant and in that case moving Tisse for draft assets makes sense... if we're building around Ant, Tisse might make more sense next to him in the back court than any other guy on the roster.

Do you mean: which ones would be most valued by other GMs, or which ones we would hold on to if we were Blazers GM?
The 4 you value the most going forward (as players or assets in a trade).

Yup, he's said many things that haven't been true before. You'd be surprised at how often the most well-connected people get the wrong information. The Blazers were going to trade the 3rd pick too, until they didn't.

Only reason I left the Pick off is because i don't know what it is yet.
