He could be a nice depth guy or maybe he fills a need in HFD...Wouldn't mind having him back. He's not cracking the top 6, but maybe he's better than some of our hopefuls for the 7-8 spots.

Guy I was really impressed by last night : Connor Allen.

Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery interesting specimen. I would not be surprised if he becomes a staple of this defense between the next year or two...
 
Agree on Allen. He may become a very solid bottom 2 defenseman in the nhl.
 
I told the fools on OTG about Allen. Yet, they always rate Russian prospects and offensive guys too high.
 
Allen is a safe, stay at home guy. That might be a good fit if Moore, Staal and McDonagh are rushing a lot. I really don't think MDZ should rush much now that I think about it. His skating is not good enough. I like him trailing the play late and trying to sneak in more.
 
Honestly, John Moore is gonna eclipse DZ this year. I can see that.
