Ant/Grant/Tbybulle/Reath seem like the obvious guys. I think 2 get moved.
I would move Grant and Thybulle.

Maybe relative to the new normal contracts people are gettingInteresting that one thinks Simons has a reasonable salary for his production and the other thinks Grant does also.
would you rather have one jason tatum or jerami grant and jrue holiday? salary wise they're the sameInteresting that one thinks Simons has a reasonable salary for his production and the other thinks Grant does also.
Ah, depth. Such a beautiful thingWe need to find some soon. I feel like we have logjams everywhere.
Ant/Scoot
Sharpe/Banton
Deni/Thybulle/Camara
Grant/Walker/Murray
Ayton/Clingan/Reath/RWIII
Rupert/Minaya/McGowens
Forgetting anyone? I think there is zero chance we don’t trade a Center.

It is notable that we're so keen to trade two of the best shooters on the team - Simons and Grant. You'd think Grant's value would be pretty high, given the rarity of rangy defenders who are genuinely good shooters.Looking at that depth chart the starters look pretty good, but damn there are absolutely no shooters on that bench.
No reason what so ever, that Scoot, Camara, Walker & Murray improve their shooting. Its their job and they have all the time they need to practice their shooting! It is notable that we're so keen to trade two of the best shooters on the team - Simons and Grant. If we DO trade them, then Shaedon damn well better get more consistent and efficient fast or it's going to be an ugly season. (Yeah, yeah, I know - Cooper Flagg - but we still have to watch the damn games.)
Part of me agrees with this, in my thinking well, Clingan isn't ready for 30 minutes a night. But I continue to o back and forth on, if the plan is Flagg(or Bailey or...) then what harm does it do if we put him out there, with RW3 or Reath(when RW3 gets hurt) backing up, and the occasional small bal lineups we'd see with like Walker or someone at C. Does it hurt his development to be out there with Scott, Advija, Sharpe? It’s probably a me problem at this point, but seeing DA still being tossed in trade proposals is getting old. They are terrible trades as well, but it’s just the fact he couldn’t be further from the trade block.
And no, drafting DC has not changed that. At least not for a few years where it legitimately could make sense to split them up. Currently they’re both excited to be twin towers together, you catch that vibe and ride the ever loving bajeezus out of it as opens up a brand new lane in the metaverse where we may actually come out of this rebuild madness better than we were before it all started. Anyway. Back to figuring out what 2nd round swaps are available for a young 18-10 center who loves being here.

Trade Ayton, keep the other THREE centers. That's enough for any team! No point in trading Williams when his value is at its nadir. Converse for Ayton. He was the only offense for a while last season, but I don't want the Blazers to be a team that force feeds Ayton. I think he needs a coach that will either light a fire under his ass or will coddle him like Isiah Thomas coddled Jermaine O'Neal.Part of me agrees with this, in my thinking well, Clingan isn't ready for 30 minutes a night. If we could send Ayton to NOP, Ingram to a 3rd team, and actually get assets for Ayton? Why not, if we have 2 competent backups on the roster, one in RW3 which it sounds like they actually like a lot.
Spooky - I was literally JUST running this very scenario through a trade machine. But I couldn't find a third team that makes sense. At first I thought Atlanta, because they have no incentive to suck this year, as the Spurs have their pick, but they just drafted Risacher and, besides, have nothing we want. Detroit? MAYbe, but I'm not sure this is the season for them to start winning, otherwise why did they take Holland, who is def. a project. But then again, they just signed Tobias Harris, and I'm not sure if that makes them more or less likely to want Ingram. If we could send Ayton to NOP, Ingram to a 3rd team, and actually get assets for Ayton? I was just looking at this, struggling to find any reasonable options. Maybe Chicago, get the massively undesirable Lavine and multiple picks back (including our own)? Otherwise, I have no ideas. If we could send Ayton to NOP, Ingram to a 3rd team, and actually get assets for Ayton?
The thing is, it’s also false. You CAN try the same thing over and over and get a different result. It’s called persistence.take it up with Einstein
No, it’s not.Maybe we should bring back the word "retarded" and outlaw the word "asshole"?
Language policing is rather arbitrary isn't it.
Just be nice to people and call them what they like to be called. It’s that simple. I was in a show with elf characters many years ago. I called them midgets. They said that hurts them and they prefer to be called little people. So I call them little people. What’s your problem? Yes, things change. It’s called progress. It's a never ending game and those who push it will constantly change their mind. And we're supposed to keep hopping around from one foot to the other in abject obedience to their decrees. That may be your religion, but it's not mine.
If you want to be treated like a grown man, act like one.FO. There is nothing wrong with the word insanity, which started this. Then others chimed in with words like retarded and asshole. I used the word "kinks" in another thread. You have a problem with that? It might be too descriptive for you. And do not tell a grown man or woman to be better. Condescending, aren't you? I wasn't even a part of the diatribe but saw you acting out and called you on it. Really, using the word insanity is offensive now? Please share your word or words to be used in the future to replace such an offending word? Can we get the new thesaurus to navigate this board peacefully. Being a war veteran, can you get people to stop using the phrase "going to war?" It is used often here but is offensive and triggering to me. You are wrong. Move along. Leave the main board as it is. Words like insanity, retarded and asshole have meanings. They can also be used as slurs, such as you did using the word asshole. Know the difference between a slur and proper usage of a word and life will be much simpler. That is all.
He didn’t say that.We have different ideas of what being a good person is. Lefties think empty virtue signalling and adhering to the edicts of certain ideologues make them virtuous. I think it makes you weak and pathetic.
We're not even talking about being mean to people, under your ideology it's wrong to even say something like "Flame retardant".
If someone offends you, tell them. They’ll do the sameYou just don't get it. Using the word "insane" is not offensive. Calling someone insane is offensive. That is how this SJW project of yours started here. The fact a member of this board struggles with insanity, while unfortunate, is not call to ban a common word. I think it is insane you do not see this. Am I wrong? No. I could have used the word "crazy," which I am sure is an equally offensive word when used out of context or as a slur. Point being, every member has life experiences, good, bad, indifferent. But I do not know one single person here. I have met some when I lived in Portland. I have no idea what words might offend them. They have no idea what words might offend me, or you. But common sense says to move along when no malice is intended. It is the true narcisscist that wants to create chaos when none is there. I have no need, want or desire to engage people with my life experiences when nothing offending occurred.
Yeah, the Grant elimination occurred to me.Yeah, 3rd team is tough, and likely eliminates a grant destination in the process. But Lakers could be one. GS if no Lauri, for a similar package? SA to add scoring punch alongside wemby. Charlotte?
A star can be in league 15-17 years. Ayton and Ant are young for their level of talent. Mid 20s is young.Ant, Ayton, and Timelord have all been in the league 6 years. They will be entering their 7th seasons, 3 years removed from their rookie scale deals. The average age of an NBA player is 26.03; average age of an NBA rookie is 19.5; the average number of years in an NBA career is 4.5. Timelord is 26.75; Ayton will be 26 in 10 days; Ant turned 25 six weeks ago (Thybulle turned 27 four months ago)
all of those players are veterans. Ayton is already at the average age; Ant will be in less than a year. Calling them young players seems like a real stretch. They would be young for the PGA tour; not so much for the NBA
If we had actual logjams everywhere, we’d be contenders. We need to find some soon. I feel like we have logjams everywhere.

Not bad. But we'd need to get a couple picks from Chicago, including our own back.
