Think he learned something by watching the Kraft massage video?

I never said that. I’m saying if you’re the type of person to play victim in 2019 I feel sorry for you. Whether you are gay, straight, black, white, Asian, man, or woman. The victim card has been played out. As a black person today you just can’t sit and talk about some shit that happened 400 years ago. People are past that. Yes racism exists today and in some places it’s bad. You can’t just bring up slavery and now. Nobody was alive for that. Nobody is at fault for that who is alive today. Times have advanced and people have progressed, it’s time others have to.You are basically telling people who have been treated negatively for the past 400 years to ,"get over it". Thats horrible bro. I hope you don't pass this way of thinking on to another generation.
Because the same people who dislike me have fun with it and know I’m gonna respond back because I have a tendency to reply even when knowing I shouldn’t.Why perpetuate, man? What's the point? You know you and Cippy are never going to see eye to eye. Why keep it going?
Only issue with this is the “b” word is used for a lot more than just women these days. The “n” word without the hard R is somehow a term of endearment now. Whatever that meansIt started with the 'N' word for Blacks and then went on to the 'B' word for a woman. Will it never stop?
I have said to myself while watching Zion Williamson clips that the kids a monster and it has nothing to do with race. Monster and beast can be used positively. That kid is a god damn monster, he can jump out of the gym. I mean have you seen any of his highlights? He’s 280 pounds and doing this stuff. You can’t just take everything said and be like oh that’s racist or oh he’s trying to dehumanize a black person. That’s not the case at all. Seems to me the people with race constantly stuck in their head are the ones finding the racism in shit that’s not even contextually or intended to be racist. That’s ironic to meNobody compares how a White man looks with a monkey. Black people get this often from racists. Can't you see why they'd be a little touchy on the subject?
Besides, Barkley hardly typifies Black Americans.
I disagree with you, and I want to be respectful so if this is out of line feel free to tell me.Some double standards have a valid basis. As a kid, were you ever told that it's absolutely unacceptable to ever lay hands on a woman? I hope so. Same rule doesn't apply to men.
I think 400 years of white people telling black people what they can and can't do pretty much undermines any right we might think we should have to tell black people what they should do.
Double-standard, yes; but I'm ok with that.
I have a lot of hair and I have definitely been called many species of monkey lol, but I get what you’re saying.Nobody compares how a White man looks with a monkey. Black people get this often from racists. Can't you see why they'd be a little touchy on the subject?

I can absolutely see why they'd be touchy. But context, manNobody compares how a White man looks with a monkey. Black people get this often from racists. Can't you see why they'd be a little touchy on the subject?

Perfectly said, as always.I disagree with you, and I want to be respectful so if this is out of line feel free to tell me.
I think the double standard of telling a boy not to lay there hands on a girl is crazy. Maybe teacb our kids outside of just about any not extreme situation it isnt ok to lay your hands on anyone. Its not like its more wrong to beat a man, than it is to beat a woman.
There shouldnt be a double standard with how I treat dviss, or I treat my old white neighbor. I should treat them with respect. I have never met a Black person who wanted a double standard and for them to be treated like some sort of special class. They want to be treated equally, to have the same oppurtunities as white guys. To feel the law applies to them the same as it does to us. To feel like their skin color isnt what their judged by, but by their merit. Now I understand that my circle of friends is anectodal and not a representation of everyone, but Im not going to treat dviss or a Black person special because their black, Im going to treat them well because their humans, and ultimately part of the same race I am.
I understand your perspective, and I (of course) agree with your basic premise of treating everybody with respect, regardless of race or gender. But it's denying basic reality to suggest that the world won't react differently to actions of mine--even completely innocuous ones-- based on the race and/or gender of one toward whom they're directed. I mean, that's what the OP of this thread is about.I disagree with you, and I want to be respectful so if this is out of line feel free to tell me.

Yep, N word, bitch and trash rapper. All three are exactly the same. Like you even had any idea what I'm talking about. It started with the 'N' word for Blacks and then went on to the 'B' word for a woman. Will it never stop?
Really? How long ago is too long? This would be a great example of why people have claimed you are a racist. What person with any sense of decency and respect for others, would type this? You really think this way?
To me all people are unique, and made up of many different things, Race, Sex, Sexuality, Weight, Height, etc. Part of treating everyone well means to see beyond one part or two parts of them and seeing the whole. Part of respect, love and understanding for your fellow man is understanding that they may have things as part of them, that makes them more sensitive to certain comments. Like in this case, Black people have been called “monkeys” for too long in this country, so choosing your words wisely in reference to whom youre speaking is just part of treating everyone with respect to me, its not a double standard.I understand your perspective, and I (of course) agree with your basic premise of treating everybody with respect, regardless of race or gender. What we call "double-standards" are just sensitivity to fluid dynamics.
I have faith that one day white people will stop fucking complaining, own their shit, and finally just... Get it....
Watch what the fuck you say and stop referring to us as monkeys...
Or else you'll get suspended from your job.

Going after someone's job is fucked up.
I'm a white person.
I dont call people apes.
So quit generalizing.
He referred to him as a beast, or monster.
Me and Dviss are cool man. We could discuss this stuff in person and be cool. Im understanding and in agreement with pretty much everything except when he generalized white people. I never do that with any race, I feel like it's the wrong thing to do. So I said something about it. I'd dry the same thing in person and we'd likely have a good discussion. So get off your high horse.
With as many millions as Foxworthy made off of his "You might be a redneck" routines, perhaps you need to adapt it for this segment of the population. When you job is to speak to the public and you refer to someone as an ape, on said job....
You might get suspended...
Challenge acceptedAs are a lot of people, but it sounds like he's the most drastic difference between person and persona.
You don't have the stupidest family in the world, you don't have the goofiest family in the world. And if you ever need to verify that, all you have to do is go to a state fair. Five minutes at a fair, you'll be going, "You know what? We're all right. We're dang near royalty!"With as many millions as Foxworthy made off of his "You might be a redneck" routines, perhaps you need to adapt it for this segment of the population.
"If you refer to a black person as an ape, you might be a racist..."
I would read that newsletter.
Since none of us have ever met you since you live in Rockets country, how would any of us know?Challenge accepted
No shit it's not. When the hell did I say that? One of your more dumber posts and shows you completely don't get it.
It's not blacks calling each other monkeys....
Where we differ is intent. He was a beast, and the commentator referred to him as one. Like the wrestler King Kong Bundy. He was referred to as that because he was an enormous human who was a beast in the ring.King Kong is a fucking gorilla. Stop playing stupid.....
WTF is wrong with folks who think this shit is ok???
And in person, I'd clown your ass for not getting it.
Knock it off, you two.I'd clown your little ass for the same reason.
You don't get it. You're redeeming grace is that you don't realize the harm those remarks do to a Black person.Where we differ is intent. He was a beast, and the commentator referred to him as one. Pointing at a black man, or large black man and saying "look at King Kong over there" is racist.
Describing a 6'10" 240lb black kid who just dominated the paint, grabbed the final offensive rebound and made the winning basket by saying he was "King Kong out there" was a compliment
