Player exit interviews and statements - 10 am

Yeah, never good to jump to conclusions without getting as much info as you can. If this forum had any say so, we would have a different coach every week and player turnover would be faster than a revolving door in downtown New York.

We have 6 years of info. You need 10? Which part of the Stotts system don't you understand yet?

I think this was the most revealing.

Finally someone explicitly saying that we need a more varied attack than Dame/CJ pick and rolls.

In my perfect world, ET develops a consistent 3pt shot and steps in as starting SG with CJ off the bench. I can dream can't I? I wonder what keeps him from doing that? Has he really tried to work on it? I don't doubt he has, but it sure would be nice.

Evan Turner is the guy who can't perfectly toe the company line in an interview; there's always one on any team. Read as much as you can into his reaction to Stott's off-season goals for ET too.

I can't believe this Stotts quote hasn't garnered more attention.
Why the hell is he not going to evaluate the job he did?

To get better, you sit down and take a look at what you did well & poorly. You figure out what went wrong & fix it.

He's content... This attitude permeates across the team.
Dame 'brags' that he takes the highest number of difficult 3pnt shots in the league. It's not a good thing... Sit down and figure out how to get better & easier shots.
Your second two paragraphs were right on the button. But what makes you think Stotts isn't doing that?

Not a Stott's quote.

Olshey said it.

Well, maybe it's because I don't put much value on your opinion and observe and read others that have much more knowledge than you.

If Stotts is doing that then he's failing miserably, has lost the team, and needs to go.

Say what? That's what all good managers and engineers do. If they don't, they're not living up to the expectations of their boss.

It means it is foolish to overreact to this series. He's not saying the team doesn't need improvement and that he won't work to improve, but sometimes it's best to sit back and properly assess the situation before decisions are made. It's not as simple as sitting in the forum and posting a bunch of bull shit.
10 straight playoff losses.
How much more data does he require?

Shocking why o live failed
That kinda pedantic attitude, filled with circuitous arguments and condescension is why I left OLive. Now these guys are here doing the same. At least we have an ignore feature here and mods that actually understand the concept of what a forum is supposed to be.

It didn't fail though. It was all the other forums that had little participation and they decided to close all forums in all the cities they had a presence. Simply put, they decided to use the space for other stuff. The Blazer fan forum had plenty of participation but it was a small piece in all the websites the ownership ran. They even tried an alternative to accommodate the Blazer fans but it just wasn't as accessible. Olive was actually a great format.

Hated the format, but it's what you get used to, I guess?

The difference is, OLive's format was like a group of guys sitting around a table in a bar discussing basketball. This format has way too many subjects and long threads that it's impossible to keep track of what's going on as threads will disappear for weeks and then all of a sudden pop up again and it seems almost every thread goes off track several times depending on the popularity of a thread. But, like you said, too each their own. Each has their own merits and drawbacks.

Sorry, Riverman. Having this guy in your corner is not helping you :emotions:
I'd rather sit at a game next to KS than any of the angry wannabe Knick fans who think being loud is being right.....a lot of those cropping up around here these days. If I weren't a fan of a TV show I wouldn't watch it for years and bitch about it daily...KS is a fan.....we have that in common...some are wanna be radio shock jocks.....soccer moms...also MM...I'm beyond help!
