Who are some surprises so far?

Paul George is looking pretty amazing. Was he drafted out of community college? I seem to remember thinking he would be a bust.
Where did Patrick Beverley come from? And where has Jeremy Lin gone? Or Tyson Chandler?

Others?

I think Steph Curry is going a long way towards cementing himself as an elite player in the eyes of even the casual NBA fan. And If he can stay healthy the guy is going to be a huge bargain for the Dubs.

Agreed. But does he sprain his ankle every single game? Or just every game that I watch?

And how 'bout that Klay Thompson? Why did he drop in the draft again? Was it just because he's slow and he went to Washington State? What is it with elite shooting guards and the lesser schools of the Pac-10 (I refuse to say 12)? Except for OJ Mayo, of course.

Who's this year's Klay Thompson?

Both of you bring up two good examples:

Curry is amazing

Lin is too passive. Whenever I watch him he usually gets into the lane fairly easily, but almost always passes it back out to the perimeter. He needs to shoot more when he gets that close. Maybe he lacks that particular skill. Not sure.

The only one I can think of is Crabbe. Pac12 player of the year from Cal. 6'6" SG with good range.

Beverly was like MVP in Europe if I recall correctly. He's good.

If by that you mean "briefly came off the bench for Olympiacos", then you recall correctly.

Actually, this is probably what you're thinking of:

Wikipedia said:
In January 2011, he signed a one and a half-year contract with Spartak St. Petersburg.[4] In November 2011, Beverley signed an extension through 2014, with an option for the 2014-15 season. In 2012, he was named the 2nd-tier (the level below the Euroleague) Eurocup's MVP.[5] Beverley left Spartak St. Petersburg in December 2012.
