5 different categories, with at least 5. 5 points. 5 rebounds, 5 blocks, 5 steals, 5 assistsCan someone explain to me please whats a 5*5 Statline is ?
Would you trade Nurkic for AD? It’s crazy to say no but...Funny because coming into the league that comp was thrown around. He’s always had natural all around talent to go with his physical gifts. Just think about it, ten years ago he wasn’t even playing the sport! We should be building around Dame and Nurk. Every move should be with those two in mind.
We can build around Dame and Nurk. As long as he stays healthy, that extension this summer was an absolute steal which should help Neil build more talent around the two.
We've been throwing it about this year that Nurk is better and more important to our team than CJ on this forum, but this game will help bring it to the mainstream. It should make Neil's job easier to let CJ go and not receive any nonsense backlash.
Yes, it would be nice to pair AD with Dame and Nurk but if you can get a transcendent talent like AD you give the Pelicans whatever they want other than Dame.Would you trade Nurkic for AD? It’s crazy to say no but...

Doesn't Marang hate Nurk?
Yeah he's always seemed pretty negative... But not the type of negative where he actually will call out the team for mentality, or challenge Stotts on his coaching issues, or challenge Olshey heavily.
It's all "The Blazers didn't win, the Warriors lost"... Yeah, but we didn't lose in Oakland, so that's a win in itself. Or quotes like you said. And then after he finishes, the other two don't acknowledge anything he said and they bring up a facebook comment hahaha.
Sigh.
We might get a live post-game show going in a year or two once we're bigger and I think we'd get some decent viewership.
You do always come across as critical of Nurk though. Which is fine, and maybe it comes across that way but isnt meant that way. Thats been my impression though.Nope. Always liked Nurk.
And you never heard me say "I used to always hear him say stuff like "you know how I feel about Nurk but I have to give him credit since he played well tonight" either.
Folks, criticize me all you want but at least get it right. It's not hard.
I had to take a course on how to give good criticism once and a big portion of the course was actually about how to be positive in your criticism. Not defending anyone or criticizing you, so dont take it that way. I guess my point would be the best ways to criticize is to also compliment the good at the same time. It comes across as more genuine. I havent watched enough to know, but in my opinion (you may feel differently), the criticism at times seems like its not balanced very well with positivity. Im not saying lie, or be positive just for the heck of it.Really? I'm not critical? Again... you can criticize my takes or disagree all you want but you don't have to make shit up. I've been critical of this team for literally the entire time I've been writing/podcasting/hosting, etc. I've railed against personnel decisions, lineups, coaching, sets, salary management, you name it. People ask me to be MORE positive because I'm critical of a lot. I'm not dodging anything and I never will. Quit putting up these straw-men to make yourself look like more.

Anywho this isnt my fight. Hope you’re doing well and since this is my first ineteraction with you, “Hello!”

I haven't watched a lot of episodes of the outsiders because honestly most of the time when the game is over I go to bed. I remember early this season at one point thinking you guys were being pretty critical of Nurk. When? I've been one his Nurk's biggest supporters- the only criticism I've had for him is that he wasn't living up to his potential. Now if you said this about Collins... yeah that's fair. I've been most critical of him and Harkless. But Nurkic? Nah.

I have to be fair though early in the year I was pretty critical of Nurk's defense, but had to accept that the way they're calling games this year Nurk and all bigs just aren't really allowed to be too physical. They've backed off some of that at this point though.
That's the genesis of most of the fan criticism of Blazer players really: expectations not being met. People are frustrated with Meyers because he should be able to shoot willingly and consistently without hesitation; people are frustrated with CJ because he should be able to pass the ball when he's driving into a crowd of 4 defenders; and people get frustrated with Nurkic because he should be able to use his size and strength more effectively in the post.If I've been critical of Nurkic it's b/c I expect more from him- not that I don't like him or that I don't think he's good. I've wrote about it substantially over the last year and I've consistently said that I think Nurkic should be the 2nd most important guy on this team.
When I said “always” I think that was the incorrect word to use. I shouldnt have used that word. I think most of the time frustrations come from believing a guy isnt meeting our expectations. If I've been critical of Nurkic it's b/c I expect more from him- not that I don't like him or that I don't think he's good. I'm sorry if I mischaracterized what you said, but is it possible that you are unknowingly giving off the perception of not liking Nurk? I obviously don't have the ability to watch old episodes and directly show you examples but if myself and others are getting a certain perception then I think there is probably some sort of tone or reason for feeling that way.If I've been critical of Nurkic it's b/c I expect more from him- not that I don't like him or that I don't think he's good. You had every right to be critical. He went for a very long time throwing up lazy flip shots at the basket and rounding passes that got picked off. Only 2-3 weeks ago half this board had him as trade bait. What game was it he missed a bunch of consecutive shots? If I've been critical of Nurkic it's b/c I expect more from him- not that I don't like him or that I don't think he's good.
