It's definitely an interesting spot for Stotts in terms of Aminu. You could make the argument that the Blazers won't win the series without him hitting some 3s. But he hasn't really looked close on most. Do you continue to give him the green light? I just wouldn't want to rattle the guys confidence, so shot selection and shots in rhythm is what needs to be stressed.
That 3rd scoring option? Looked like Harkless early. Obviously the Clips want it to be Aminu. Need more from Crabbe and Hendo and something from Plums. He looks soft.

Gotta throw another wrinkle in to TAKE ADVANTAGE of Aminu being open. There's a reason he's open on the perimeter - the Clips are happy giving him that. Add another action so Aminu DOESN'T SHOOT, but attacks the basket which will either result in (a) a dunk, or (b) drawing a defender off CJ/Harkless.

I like Aminu, but he is a what he is.. An average starter but would be phenomenal off the bench. Harkless is a better 3.

I was just thinking the same thing. The very few times he's played in a second-team rotation this year, he's done alright. I wouldn't mind seeing him play. Why the hell else do we keep him around? I think he's better than a 3rd string scrub.

All in all we can still do this. We just need some of our other players to step up. I have faith Dame and CJ can do there thing and do the right thing. It it the others that need to give it there 120% and we can pull the upset.

We held them to ZERO 3pt shots made. They did shoot 50% for the half though.

We shot 35%. We aren't a 35% shooting team. Keep up the defense and hit 40% of our shots and the game is ours.

At 2s, they are 18-34. We are 12-34, only 2/3 the makes on the same attempts.

At 3s, they are 0-2. We are 5-14.

So we've wasted a lot of tries on 3s, but have taken no fewer 2s. Something really sucks here.
