:reading:BLAZERS' OFFICIAL GAME NOTES

• The Warriors won all four of their regular season contests against the Trail Blazers in 2016-17 to claim their fourth season series victory against Portland in the past five seasons, including three straight.

• LAST MEETING: Kevin Durant finished with 33 points, 10 rebounds and six assists as the Warriors defeated the Trail Blazers, 113-111. Evan Turner missed a corner 3-pointer at the buzzer as Portland’s 21-point comeback came up just short. CJ McCollum led Portland with 28 points and seven rebounds.

• Damian Lillard averaged 23.3 points (45.8% FG, 38.9% 3-PT) and 3.7 assists in three games against the Warriors this season.

• CJ McCollum averaged 22.3 points (47.9% FG, 40.7% 3-PT), 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in four contests against Golden State this season.

• Kevin Durant averaged 29.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists in four games against the Trail Blazers this season.

• Stephen Curry averaged 27.3 points while shooting 48.4% from the 3-point line (15-of-31) in three games against the Trail Blazers this season.

PLAYOFF SERIES NOTES
• This will be the second meeting between the Trail Blazers and Warriors in the NBA Playoffs. Golden State defeated the Trail Blazers last year, 3-1, in the Western Conference Semifinals.
• Since Portland became a franchise in 1970, Portland has made the playoffs 33 times, while Golden State has qualified 17 times. The Two teams have both reached the playoffs in all 17 of those seasons.
• Damian Lillard averaged 31.8 points (43.1% 3-PT) and 7.6 assists against the Warriors in the 2016 Western Conference Semifinals. Lillard recorded two games of 30+ points and 10+ assists, and his 40 points in the Blazers’ lone victory represent his playoff career high.

• Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 31.0 points per game (28-56 3-PT, 50.0%) against Portland in the Western Conference Semifinals last year.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
PLAYOFFS, ALL TIME: Golden State leads, 4-1
IN PORTLAND: Series tied, 1-1
AT THE WARRIORS: Warriors lead, 3-0

After listening to Rip City Report podcast they did have one good point that I hadn't thought of. The Nurkic effect aside, Evan Turner could be the x-factor in this series not only for his ball handling and defense but he does have a good amount of playoff experience. That could come in handy at some point.

Yeah it boggled my mind that NO ONE in the media(national or local radio, news, etc) has even brought up Turner and his impact in this series other than Freeman and Holdahl. Isn't this Warriors' team the exact reason why we signed Turner in the first place? To have a third ball handler on the court and to defend one of Curry/Durant/Thompson with Harkless and Aminu?

For all the people that want to throw Dame under the bus for his prediction there sure are A LOT of media people predicting a Warriors SWEEP! I hope that motivates the Blazers. Momentum can be a crazy thing...

You can tell the NBA is really optimistic about this game going the full 7.....

I hate this league. And I hate Green's big lipped fucking smart ass face too.

We need Nurkic. Offensively he can show the game down through post ups. Take longer possessions means less possessions. Less possessions means we have to be better than them over a smaller sample to win.

Post ups also lead to turnovers, which the Warriors thrive off of. It also means there's 2 guards up top to get back and stop transition baskets.

Warriors Release Statement on Scheduling Conflict with Chance the Rapper Concert | Bleacher Report (via https://br.app.link/get-the-app ) http://teamstre.am/2p20g6M

Another interesting wrinkle

Fans of Chance the Rapper in the Bay Area will be even more hopeful the Golden State Warriors can sweep the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2017 NBA playoffs.

SB Nation's Tim Cato noted a potential Game 5 between the Warriors and Blazers would be the same date as a scheduled concert for Chance inside Oracle Arena. A spokesperson for the team told Cato the Warriors would receive preference in the event of any conflict.

"When booking concert events at the arena during a playoff run, we typically schedule contingency dates for that event. The Warriors will have the priority on April 26," the spokesperson said. "A formal announcement for the Chance the Rapper show is in the works, pending that the show will be moved."

The last time the Warriors s5 played together in full was Feb 28, 2017 - The game which Durant sprained his MCL.

The Warriors have sat one of their s5 in every game since Durant's return 3 games ago.

I give Dame thumbs up about his predication. We can make this series if we play the defense as we did at the end of the season. If Nurk plays this could be long series and I would give us outside chance for the upset.

Tough to win playing 5 on 8.

NBA is rigged

Dame gets no respect

Warriors get away with everything

I said it so you don't need to.

They will anyway. It was already starting a couple days ago.

If Nurkic plays, I believe the games will be competitive but Portland still loses in 5. If Nurkic doesn't play, this is the same team that was a game and a half out of the #7 Lottery pick....but without Mason Plumlee and Ed Davis.

That just doesn't give me a lot of confidence.

Curry and Durant have lost their last 6 playoff games combined. They are in complete free fall and don't even remember how to win in playoffs. Blazers in 4.
You da man!
