I hate when networks do that. IMO the lack of crowd noise makes the game seem boring. They do that with football too.
Do they do it just so we can hear the play by play guys better? What a joke. Hell I muted half the game just because of the announcers. I fucking hate the combo of Jackson and Van Gundy.

Reading about the extent of Paul George's injury. Sounds like he is going to continue to play through pain as i guess he can't injure it further but he will need surgery after the season.
Not sure how to verify that but that is the overall consensus on the Thunder forums.
Excuses, excuses. We don't have Nurkic. OKC lack depth and that is what is killing them. Olshey>Presti

I wasn't making any excuses for them at all. Just watched Paul George look pretty bad. He really is having a tough time.
Not only that he is really their best outside threat. When the Blazers clamped down on him he looked a bunch like Dame did last year when there was just nothing else he could really do.
Playoff basketball is tough. The Blazers have been through this and know they must play tough the whole game.

Here's a small game recap, I'm sure Bones will have one that's way better and you won't even have to read!

1st Quarter. Blazers were pumped up it was obvious they wanted from the start to throw the 1st punch in this series. OKC seemed a bit shook for a little bit.
2nd Quarter. The start of this the reserves played pretty well for a short time, Seth made some big shots and made some energy plays. This isn't a complaint about the refs calls whether they were good or bad, but I really felt that they started calling a lot of things, which slowed the game down to a lot of half court sets. This contributed to the Blazers losing focus and they started turning the ball over in bunches, which turned into transition points.
The third and fourth quarter were basically a push, but that lead the Blazers jumped out too proved to be the punch they needed.

Both teams leave today with a couple of obvious things they gotta do better. For OKC it's just shooting, they gotta hit some 3's for the Blazers it's turnovers and making WB see bodies off of his defensive rebounds.

As a Blazer fan yes it would've been nice to see them put the game away early but OKC is a good team and I think it helps them going forward to know they can pull out a close game vs them after dropping close ones in their regular season matchups. Both teams can play better, I don't know why any Blazer fan would be too upset with the outcome. You got a win.

Then why are plenty of other people here complaining about the same thing, genius?
I went to Game 2 last year, it was slightly louder today, pretty close though.

I went to Game 3 of the Warriors series the year before, it was about the same as that and that game had Nurk coming back from his injury to amp the crowd.

I went to Game 3 of the Memphis series and it was just as loud today even though the crowd went nuts when Wes came out of the tunnel in the Iron Man mask.

I was at Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals in 2000. That game was probably louder due to both the magnitude of the game and the talent level of the team but it was negated by a huge portion of the crowd being Laker fans.

Nice win and yes we need to get more from our wings.

God, I hate Felton and Westbrook.
So, Blazers, you're on a mission from God. Beat Okie City.

Absolutely. Much better to win a close one in a pressure situation because the majority of these games will be close. Loved how they responded when it was cut to 1.

Serious Props for Dame in the post game interview for his candor. Asked what POR did to make OKC miss shots, and he says it's just them missing shots, especially PG who missed open looks. Says we need to do a better job

This. If the Thunder shot their average from the 3, this would have been a blowout. We cannot rely on them staying cold the entire series. I think game 2 is going to be a much more realistic taste of what facing the Thunder will be like.

I'm happy for the win, but I feel like it's more of an anomaly than an earned win. And that's no disrespect intended towards Dame or Kanter. Dame I thought didn't play GREAT, but it was good enough.

Zach is really looking like a bust in the grand scheme of things. Could he still be a rotation guy? Sure. But was he worth the 10th pick? No fucking way.

He's definitely a rotation player, and certainly NOT worth a 10th round pick. I'm beyond sick and tired of drafting projects and those whom are barely old enough to buy a pack of cigarettes.

I can understand being tired of drafting projects but after the top 5 of most draft classes its all hit or miss guys and projects. Its weird to draft guys and say well we don’t think he’s going to contribute much for a year or two but its not like theyve had really high selections to work with.

When we drafted Collins, he wasn’t old enough to buy smokes in Oregon...

Just watched the game......great W for the boys! Enjoyed not working it. Daughter had two soccer games. Had to tell all the parents not to give me updates and I turned my phone off. Sucks we blew that big lead, but after the buzzer sounded, we had more points than them. All that matters. 1-0!

I wish we had more hits than misses and projects.
