I am LOATHE to blame the refs - and actually, I don't AT ALL. But we definitely got the short end of the stick from the refs tonight. Not why we lost - we lost because we have no game plan - but the refs certainly didn't do us any favors.
 
Blazers aren't constructed for the playoffs, they're a bunch of pusssies. I'm serious. Yea that might be harsh but look at the teams that win in the playoffs. you have to be tough , gritty, willing to sacrifice

those loose balls at the end were proof we arent willing to do so

That should be a blessing. But the game plan has to be ready to make it a blessing. Guess what is missing?
Damian stats indicate that should be the way to defend him. It happens every playoff. Stotts just does not know the game.

Serious question. Not throwing you shade. Why do you only post after losses?
 
As much as Dame was doubled I didn't see other guys open for him to pass to. How is that possible you say? On the other players to move better or the coach to scheme a counter.

Seems that this has happened to us a few too many times - get just good enough late in the season to be a pretender and miss out on the best avenue at making major improvements to the team.

In 2 games:
Holiday/Rondo 76 points, 28 rebounds, 37 assists on 33-62 (.532) shooting.
Dame/CJ 76 points, 15 rebounds, 19 assists on 29-80 (.363) shooting.

Their guards are dominating ours in total production and efficiency. Portland has no chance of winning with that discrepancy.
 
Pelicans shot the lights out, they got major benefits from the refs the last two games, they won the 50/50 balls and they hit there though shots. An unheard of 6 FTA in the two first halfs combined for the Blazers.
Our backs are most definetly against the wall, we can't slip up but we are not out. This is where we find out what this team is really made of.
 
Olshey will never trade CJ so why even waste time discussing it. We need to hope he finds someone good in the draft and that we can find a solid bench player with the MLE.

Aside from one designated player (Nic or CJ) who accounts for ALL of our team's motion, everybody else is stationary. Tater Totts' offense SUCKS BALLS.

Nurk - 13 points in 15 minutes.....and he was able to come back in.

But not for Stotts.
