Would have had 2 more except that their 5th foul of the quarter was their "1st of the last 2 minutes". Which seems like a bullshit rule when it actually allows them an extra foul. I thought that rule was so teams would only have to foul twice if they only had, say, 1 team foul at the end of the game and they wanted to stop the clock and make the other team shoot FTs.
It doesnt.d. It's 5 or the first in the last 2 minutes, whichever comes first.

He's getting double teamed every time he touches the damn ball, and we keep bringing that second defender to him by setting ball screens so...
It’s the same every postseason... teams trap Dame. We still haven’t added a reliable non covered man to our offense to make teams stop trapping him.

I mean... I expected their FRONTcourt to dominate ours, but I never expected their backcourt to do so.

Is Holiday really this good?

One thing to keep in mind is that Dame is getting doubled hard. The opposing team is selling out to stop him. Holiday is being given an open runway to the basket because we're more afraid of Davis. In short, they are facing vastly different defenses.

Folks, Dame is tired... wait when we play on the road, he will be more focus.

Imagine how easy this series would be if Dame was playing like normal. Still have a lot of faith that will happen tho, he did drop 44 and gave us the W on this team not that long ago.

Scoring more wouldn't hurt. And D hasn't been awful. AD shooting 40%.

Yeah its not as much D as making stupid mistakes and turning the ball over.

And he has been smart and hit Davis and Nurk a few times, but it doesn't explain the open shots he is missing.

Yeah, but I thought we got Turner so we could have a 3rd ballhandler, to take stress off of Dame and CJ. I assumed that meant we would run plays where Dame and/or CJ moves around a bit to get open and then gets the ball with a chance to do something with it. Instead we just have Dame hold the ball 30 feet from the hoop, send a big to screen so he can get doubled, and meanwhile Turner is playing with his pud on the 3 point line where he's just about worthless, so his defender is setting up a tent under the rim to stop Nurk from getting a free roll to the hoop. Brilliant.

sorry to say but i think NO is just better than us. hopefully the bench gives us a spark but this is not looking good at all.

HELL NO...GET OUT

Weird. Maybe the box score I was reading was wrong, but I saw 4 fouls for them, and then a minute or two of game time later they fouled to stop a drive and the refs had us pass it in. I was confused why we weren't shooting and then heard Calabro comment that it was their first in the last two minutes.

TNT sounds like they sucking pelican dicks. I thought Portland has the lead, but doesn't seem like that watching these guys.
Ain't that the truth. Nurk dominated, but no mention.

I'd rather listen to our broadcasting team any freakin' day. These national talking HEADS, are enough to make me start drinking again.

DPOY defense with 20ppg. Better than CJ
Hey, he is a very good player but no need to embellish. He isn't getting Defensive Player of the Year and he doesn't average 20 points a game either. Can't even say you were rounding up from 19.6 or something.

It was a dumb idea from the beginning. Taking the ball out of Dame and CJ's hands diminishes their value. If you wanted a 3rd ball handler, the most basic thing he needs to be able to do is hit an open shot, which Turner cannot.
