As long as George doesn't go 'one-legged crane' on us afterwards.

Cortisone shots take about 24-36 hours to take effect. Not sure he had one but on a rotator cuff injury they work pretty good for a while.
Whatever. They're catching an even bigger "BREAK" with Nurk being out.
Of course they are. But as good as Nurkic is, no one is putting him in the same category as George. Also, our back up for Nurk is 10x better than whomever they have to spell PG13. Good for Portland.
The story i read is that they are thinking that it's a small tear with little chance of getting worse. DISCLAIMER! - I am not a doctor. I don't know shit! I was a pitcher though and have a worn rotator cuff. Painful as all get out. Cortisone did help a bunch.Yeah it takes the pain away for a short period, but the injury is still there. If he isn't careful it will get worse.
0% of Nurk is a bigger loss than 50% of George. Sure, Kanter is doing an admirable job filling in for Nurk, but do you think that Leonard and/or Collins are doing a good of a job with the second unit than Kanter would if he was playing there?
Injuries are a part of the game. Portland's had more than there share this year and it would be cheap to play down a win over the Thunder because George isn't at full strength.
Yeah, they know he needs surgery after the seasonThe story i read is that they are thinking that it's a small tear with little chance of getting worse. DISCLAIMER! - I am not a doctor. I really wasn't sure? The story was a little sketchy? I posted it i think on the game thread yesterday?Yeah, they know he needs surgery after the season
Ya I don't know why @TBpup is making excuses for them. The fact that they have PG at all means something.0% of Nurk is a bigger loss than 50% of George. What it does it effect how he shoots it with that injury so his release point is not the same as if he was healthy. Plus it must be sore because I know Zach hitting good on that shoulder and fell couple times too.0% of Nurk is a bigger loss than 50% of George. Especially if his coach keeps playing him 43 minutes.Yeah it takes the pain away for a short period, but the injury is still there. If he isn't careful it will get worse.

I think it will get harder for Kanter to go bang against Adams as the series goes on. Adams is in another weight class and he's a plays physical. Collins or Meyers will need to step up.
I guess if you call 10 pounds substantial then sure. But really you are wrong in the original idea. Adams is 265 and Kanter is 250 and Zach is 240.Adams isn't in another weight class. Both are ~250 lbs. Adams is one inch taller. Collins is substantially lighter.

And on at least one Dame's arm was clearly held, no call.
I always liked himGenerally, though, Noel has gotten the better of us in those situations this year.
Well, this is not looking good.. for us. I can't imagine Paul George having a 2nd awful shooting night in a row against us.
Maybe I put this the reason why he not shooting well from the outside as something to due with his shoulder. Due to the pain he probably not releasing it where he wants to from long distance. He will score though from the line and by his drives to the bucket. I know he great shape but look up his minutes in the last he has log in 38-42 minutes a game with a screw up shoulder this be taking a little toll on him.I wasn't arguing that George isn't playing to his full capabilities, but he still scored 26 points. The Thunder are getting at least 50% production out of him, which is better than getting nothing out of Nurk.
Kanters practiced against him for years. It's not a boxing match either.
Wikipedia had them at 250/250/235.
Kanter is listed at 245. Adams is 265.
