Btw wtf should we do with Evan turnover? He's awful, he can not even beat Fat Felton, he's completely useless, whenever he's on the court OKC is having a run, and it makes life for Seth, Hood and Collins a lot more difficult to play alongside with this dumb player. Maybe we should stagger Dame and CJ again for those two road games. I hope Evan turnover never ever steps on the court in a Blazers jersey, he's horrible
Evan Turner is the only blemish on this team. He's truly awful - not a single positive, and multiple negatives. Doesn't deserve to play a single second. (And now with that said, I'm sure he'll have one of his once-in-a-blue-moon games.)

How could any team wearing those hideous teal jerseys ever hope to win?

He played bad. Made some absolutely stupid decisions. He needs to play smarter because he needs to play. He is still one of our better wing defenders off the bench and having the 3rd ball handler in there helps. There are certain players who need to stop trying to do too much and he is one of them.

I tend to agree with you. 3 guard rotation with Curry playing about 24 minutes and Dame/CJ staggered and playing 36 minutes each. Hood/Moe/Layman/Aminu can have all the forward minutes. Turner is ancillary--should be 3rd string.

Evan Turner has one use in this series and that's bringing the ball up, but with his high ass dribble I'm thinking even this one menial skill is being taken away.

Just play Seth and let him bring it up.

Of course--after we all crap all over him, watch him be Westbrook-lite (without the ill-advised 3's) on Friday, running the bench offense to perfection.

I mean, not likely, but I wouldn't put it past him.
Maybe we just need someone to show Turner all these posts on the internet to help motivate him... Apparently last time that was done he came out and got back to back triple-doubles.

With as valuable as the volume of outside shooting has proven to be so far in this series, it does seem that Turner's "skills" are not as important at the moment.

Yeah but again PG has been in the game with their second unit. Who off of our bench do you want guarding him? ET did a great job of it in game one. He plays better D against bigger wings than he does against smaller quicker guards IMO because he likes to play physical. (and he is not that quick)

He better just be a guy in a suit next season. Have to find an actual backup point guard. He’s probably already on the roster; Simons.

Rosters tighten in the playoffs--and without Nurkic anything beyond the first round is gravy, IMO. Play to win this series--give Lillard, McCollum and Curry all the meaningful guard minutes. Let Aminu, Harkless, Hood absorb the meaningful forward minutes, with Kanter and Meyers taking up center minutes. Collins and Simons and Layman can maybe draw a few minutes here and there if really needed. An 8-man rotation is perfectly reasonable in the playoffs.

We need to fix a few things again for this game to be a win. We have to out rebound the Thunder (this is crucial). We need to get Kanter more involved in the offense because that leads to him playing better on both ends. We need to get Meyers more swishthrees (I'm just fucking around I hope Meyers doesn't see the floor). Lastly no lull from Dame or CJ. They've both played masterfully and we need that to continue. Just for the record I think we'll win this one, we're in Westbrook's head and the guy is ready to implode.

Westbrook is gonna come out launching. There’s always the possibility of him getting hot, but I’ll play the odds with that “strategy.” The more shots he takes away from George, the better.

All time, the Blazers have taken a 2-0 lead 14 times. They won all 14 series.

I have a lot of problems with stats like this. This doesn't reflect the TEAM we have now. Now, with this current team, how many 2-0 series leads have we had?

That's my issue. It's a stat, yes, but it's so misleading because the factors that played into each one of those series, unless they are on the team currently, mean nothing.

Strenuus, see the light and walk into it! You've been one of the most negative posters in here the last week. We got this.

I think itd be cool to have my recaps under the games too with those highlights, but maybe that's too self-important.

Oh, no, I'm jacked! I said the crow tasted great last night!!

I just dont like these stats at all. I wasn't saying JUST the blazers, but stats like that in general.

Also, my posting has become much more sporadic because of life going at 150 miles an hour. lol.

Yeah, sounds good!

I put your Game 1 recap video under the highlights video.

It’s our team’s history. Just like we won a title in 1977. It’s not something our current players accomplished but it’s great that we did it and that means everything. Do you think we should take the banner down because it wasn’t the current team?

Also- this “current team” hasn’t ever gone up 2-0 but the current Warriors have never won a championship either.

He’s been negative all season no matter how many big wins we had.
