I don't understand how he could say that's a bad shot........ if you can consistently hit a shot from there, and you have a clean look, it's not a bad shot....

I mean he’s technically probably right, and I bet Lillards percentages from there aren’t great but in that situation HE CAN SUCK MY DICK WERE IN THE SECOND ROUND HAVE A NICE FLIGHT BACK

There is a reason why this not a bad shot. Actually there are a few of them.
First the game was tied and it was at the Moda center in PORTLAND. Just that alone will tell you that the percentage was better.
Second Lillard was shooting well all night.
Third. If he missed they were going to OT at home with the home crowd behind them. Not just OT but Overtime with both PG and Russ with 5 fouls.
Lillard knew exactly what he was doing.

It wasn’t a bad shot because it was Lillard time!

I think his post game interview summed it up best too. He didnt want to drive to the hoop, have been mauled with insane amount of contact which alters his shot and force the refs to make a call (because they wouldn't). I just had that feeling that once that left his hand it was a great shot and it was going in. Amazing.
I believe he is right. there was no way the ref was going to call a foul on that drive and he knew it. At least that way if it goes they cannot deny him in any way. Take the game out of their hands.

Damian Lillard's 37-footer at the buzzer eliminates Thunder

Goodnight Oklahoma City. Season over.

Damian Lillard capped the best performance of his career with an unbelievable 3-pointer at the buzzer listed at 37 feet to win Game 5 of the Blazers' first-round series with the Oklahoma City Thunder, producing Portland's first series victory since 2016. The 3-pointer gave Lillard an even 50 points for the game, the most by any player in this year's postseason and the most ever in a Blazers playoff game.

While watching it unfold I kept thinking why isn't Dame taking it in??????? Why is he going to settle for a shot just inside of half court with how much time is left????? Dame's like don't worry my son, I got this!!!!!

I mean are you serious? A step back 40 footer, to his right when he usually goes left on his step backs, and with George in his face????? And that it gave him 50!!!!! Plus he basically played the whole game minus about 2.5 minutes.

I'm still tearing up. Obviously there have been bigger and more important games in the history of the Blazers but has there ever been a greater single game performance in 49 seasons?
I've seen them all..
I've always believed Brandon's 4thqtr. was the best thing I'd ever seen. Remember what Roy was going through, this was his swan song and we all knew it on Easter weekend..But I only cried for 20 mins and they lost the series..
BUT....THIS..
Insane.
Series clinchin..bye bye wavin..50 spot with the magic of Nurk and his amazing tee shirt cast some sort of spell and the way it ended....the same way he started the series..
I'm still emotional and in shock.
I've never seen anything like this.
This may be a TEAM OF DESTINY.

Before tonight, only 9 times had a Blazer score 40 or more points in a playoff game. Add Dame to the top of this list now -

Dame and LaMarcus are the only Blazers to score 40 or more points in a Playoff game twice. I'm guessing we won't have to wait too much longer to see Dame as the only Blazer to achieve this feat 3 times.......

I love how Lillard walks around giving high-fives to the fans after he gets mobbed by the team. Dame is such a class act.

My son said to me after the game that we’re lucky to have Dame as part of our Blazer watching generation. How right he is. Soak this all in. Player of Dame’s caliber don’t come around too often.

duct tape

Not strong enough, and if it's too strong it will damage the paint.

I wish I had a sun roof. I had one in my 1989 Chrystler LeBaron years ago and flew a giant American flag out the top of it on a pole after 9/11.
