I think I have come to despise Jokic...

Also one of the last play when Beasley is called for a foul and proceed to act like it is a unbelievable outrage... then they should the replay where he clearly hack Lillard across his whole arm and body. FUCKING LOL

... swallowing massive amounts of pain meds...washed down with scotch
You may or may not be joking, but in case you aren't I hope you're taking advil (ibuprofen) and not tylenol (acetaminophen). Tylenol and alcohol will fuck your liver dead. While advil/alcohol isn't a great idea either, it's a much less bad option than tylenol/alcohol.

Amen. ET goes in and loses the ball out of bounds. That dude needs a training/head camp this off season. Maybe three months of Bill Walton could drive him out of being '''horrible"" . He is not a consistent basketball player! In fact, he sucks.

This is not fair, he is consistent. He consistently sucks!

Well....shit...guess Layman will finally get some playing time this playoffs.
He started the 2nd half last night. Played 6 minutes and didn't show that he deserved any more minutes. As soon as he was in they just attacked him in the pick and roll and he can't get over a screen so his guy is always free with Jake running behind. As soon as Jake went out they stopped the pick and roll. Other teams have figured out he is not a good defender, doesn't have a reliable shot. I am not sure why Blazer fans continue to want him to play . Personally I would rather see one of the rookies get the minutes at least they can hit a wide open 3 pointer.

No. Go watch the video again. The whistle blew and Murray was on the court as well as Turner.
But i'm not gonna argue this with you. There was indeed a timeout called and they may very well leave it alone.
Guess we will find out here in about 2 hours right?

Haha, I love when people say they're not going to argue while they're arguing. I've watched the video. I hear the whistle and there's not a single player on the Portland bench on the court. I haven't seen an angle that shows when Murray went onto the court so can't comment on that. If you don't mind, can you link the video that shows him on the court prior to the whistle? Thanks.

Was so glad Nurk called out McHale's bias against the Blazers. Had to mute the game and listen to the radio broadcast because of how bad he and the play-by-play guy were. The boners they had for Denver made me nauseous. Thank fuck the next game is on ESPN.

Just look at McHale's face when Dame hit the OKC series clincher:

That's some deep-seated disdain......he's getting flashbacks of 0.9.......as he should.

He wasn't any worse than Turner or Curry. Those dudes provide worse than nothing. At least there's the chance that Jake will make a nice back-door cut. He also pressures the ball full court, which is nice to see and burns a few seconds off the shot clock.

Just going to point this out.
With Portland up 15 entering the 2nd half.
The game felt super put away.

Not all games feel like that, but it did tonight.
Was odd.

Felt like it was tied to me

That is the context of the conversation on TNT.
But The altercation was happening before the timeout was called. Players went 30-40 feet onto the court. It will be an interesting response being CJ has been suspended for simply stepping on the court before.
Jamal Murray was not even playing so him being on the court to start the altercation is suspect at best and he was on the court before the whistle blew.
The one thing that really stands out is that the push by Jokic would have and should have been a 6th foul without question.
NBA Justice!

IOW: They won't penalize any Denver player for the clear rule violation, just like they didn't call the 6th foul on Jokic for the flagrant shove.

Yep I almost died one night from the effects of taking Advil over a long period of time and apparently not drinking enough water. The ER doc told me he gets several cases a week. If not taken with lots of water Ibuprofen will create a tiny hole in your stomach causing it to fill up with blood. I had about a liter of blood in my stomach and passed out when I stood up in the middle of the night. Luckily my wife was there to save my ass before I choked on my own blood.

I am no longer able to take any ibuprofen . Only Tylenol is allowed.

Bottom line: Drinks lots of WATER when you take either.

If you read Nuggets Boards they are destroying Mason Plumlee. Seriously i could not believe what i was reading. Plumlee works as hard as any guy in the league.
These are the same fans who demonstrated throughout the game that they clearly do not understand the rule of verticality, or whatever it's called these days, and the right of the defensive player to occupy space.

Their crowd has been pathetic. First time they've advanced in the playoffs in a decade with a transcendent star and they can't even show up for a playoff game. I expect Moda to completely intimidate their players in Games 3 and 4. Imagine if they had a similar crowd to go with their altitude.

I posted last night that between the refs and the announcers, I really didn't even enjoy the game.
Right on Nurk.

The one who showed up booed their own team

I disagree, they both are able to handle the ball, they both were able to get rebounds, assists, make shots and neither of them were constantly attacked on defense.

Yeah I noticed that. They booed their own team for missing shots.

You don't boo players for a cold shooting spell. How is that supposed to help? "Oh, shit, the fans are booing because we missed a bunch of shots. I guess we should start making shots."

You 'maybe' boo if the players are not giving effort, or are mentally screwing up all over the court, or are playing like they simply don't give a shit. You paid your $100+ dollars each to be entertained for two and a half hours, and you have the right to expect the players to focus and play hard.

I hope Blazers fans in attendance for the next two games comport themselves better than that.

The author of that missed the logical point there at the end.

During an altercation, all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench.

Now, we've reached the gray area portion of the story.

The Denver Nuggets had called a timeout after Lillard's made free throw, the Kanter/Craig contact and the subsequent Kanter/Murray altercation. The incident occurred as Kanter was returning to his bench after Denver's timeout was called. So, there was no active game action at the time of the incident.

Sometimes, bench players will greet their teammates as they come back to the bench during a timeout. But the rulebook indicates that players need to remain the the "immediate vicinity" of their bench. Therein lies the rub.

There is no "gray area" and there is no "rub". The timeout has nothing to do with anything.

Players can go onto the court to great teammates during a timeout.

Players cannot leave the bench area and go onto the court during an altercation.

The difference is clear as day.

Can anyone explain why Kanter also received a tech when he didn't do anything?
Just another incident where the refs are trying to appear impartial, while being excruciatingly partial. The officiating has been an absolute joke, and I totally understand when people say stuff like "it seems like the league wants the series to go 7 games".

BTW - did the league ever issue a warning to Jokic for his face flop in G1? No? Huh - I'm shocked.

They better rescind that shit
