Frankly if Plumlee could've made a layup tonight we'd have won this game by a dozen pts

Plumlee is far too limited offensively to be a crunch time player for a contender. He's always caught in the air and makes a panic pass that gets tipped. He's a liability in situations where he's left open at the top of the key and the defense is blaketing all the other players.

Our coach is great at adjustments and our team learns from losses.

Longest game thread ever.

Lol, my bad. I should've said "I didn't expect our team to fall apart."
It is so obvious it isn't even funny. I have never understood any coach who does stupid shit like that. Do they not realize that playoff timeouts are like 75 minutes long? I worked 11 hours today with barely a break. I think Damian could have kept going.

They refuse to call fouls on him. He jumps into their chest to stall their momentum and then slaps at their arms. Or flops and we get called for a charge.
Plumlee goes straight up on defense, Green plows into him, foul Plumlee. 30 seconds later, Plumlee goes up on offense, Green plows into him, no call.

He was sensational in the first round and our only player with a 20+ PER. Don't bash Plumlee because of one quarter.

34-12 in the 4th

ugh.

shaq, chuck and co are going hard on our poor shot decisions.

And Green did it repeatedly all game. That 4th quarter, any contact by us was instant FTs for them .

Dame's scoring runs are predictable: Top of the key ISO.

The motion stops. Every time.

Watch how Detroit freed up Rip Hamilton: a million screens.

What Dame is doing now is a carbon copy of the Carmelo Anthony system.

A lot of this falls on Neil - Aminu/Harkless are not starters on contending teams.

Watch how Detroit freed up Rip Hamilton: a million screens.

Watch how Wade gets double screens set for either a jumper or a pass for a wide open 3. The Heat were such a well coached team in the earlier game with arguably inferior guards. Spolstra come back to Portland.

The NBA has been fixing playoff games since the 80's.

There have been several legitimate demands for an FBI racketeering investigation. They have too much money behind them for that to ever happen.

It is why I refuse to watch any game not involving the Blazers.

Aside from baseball America has no legitimate major sports leagues

I will say one thing about soccer. You never hear about officials in Italy or South America involved in racketeering scandals. Ohhh, it happens fron time to time. But you never HEAR about what happens to the referrees.

Dame was great in the 3rd with #LillardTime but only had 8 points in the 1st, 2nd and 4th. Part of that is he has very little help. Part of that is back to the #LillardTime vs non-LillardTime discussion.

The man is sick and still had a strong game.

I feel like our offense stalls into iso-ball late in games because Stotts wants to limit the chance for turnovers by limiting moving parts. He also wants the ball in his best player's hands. That's understandable. However, I think that strategy has thoroughly shown to be the perfect way for us to lose a lead. If Dame doesn't jack a rushed shot, he eventually is forced to pass it to someone who shouldn't have the ball, and then we have no plan, and a terrible offensive player handling the ball with no help against a set defense. Just run our regular damn weave or run some off ball screens to keep the defense honest. I can't take this shit anymore. Every possession has to have a purpose. We can't leave guys like Aminu out there with no clear instructions beyond watching Dame and seeing what happens. Same with Plumlee. Stotts has empowered these guys to make plays, and that's fine right up until they're out there with no structure around them and no way to keep the defense honest. /rant
