Murray was on another level tonight

He has been outplayed because Murray is always wide open or 1v1!!!! All our plan is to stop Jokic, Lillard is getting blitzed and doubled , we gonna have to start double him and let joker have his 30+ points per game otherwise we are toast we giving him so much freedom
I don't think we need to double Jokic and most of the time we aren't but guys seemed to get sucked in anyway, leaving the three pointers open.

Just talked with a buddy in Denver..I answer and he starts laughing and says " man those refs really screwed you guys. What the hell you do to Scott Foster?"
And I thought about it..
Many years ago Portland lost a home game on a last second non goaltendi ng call involving okc and Kevin Durant.
Replays showed Foster missed the call resulting in goaltending being reviewable under two minutes.
That's the only thing I could come up with.

That last call was tough.

if Collins could grab a defensive rebound and refrain from getting a T

if CJ hadn't turned his back on Barton ball-watching giving Denver 6 points

if any Blazer could have shot well in the 3rd Q

if Portland didn't give up 17 offensive rebounds
Don't forget the turnovers.

All i want is from scotts is to double and blitz murry. That bastard is too good to be wide open of 1V1!!! Let jokic score let him score 40 points but take murry away , and we will win the series because If we double or dont double he does damage regardless, i know murry is young he would screw up big time with doubles and blitzes
this seems worth a try.

Harkless has to stay out of foul trouble. He has been the only player to slow Murray. Once he ends up off of Murray or out of the game we get torched because Murray , jokic, and milsap are all mismatches for them offensively. As a result we have to help and it just so happens the last two games Will Barton is hitting shot after shot.
Although it seemed easy for Murray to get Harkless leaning one way and then blow by him.

This. Stotts has lacked the ability to call DT on ANY good opponent.
It seems like he is doubleteaming some now; the problem is that the team is not used to it and so are not good at rotating efficiently.

game threads are emotional...I get that. I can be emotional at times too and if I step over lines I apologize

and, it's common to look for scapegoats and apportion blame. I get that too

but in casting about for blame for the loss and the series being 2-2, maybe some blame should go to Denver for being a pretty damn good team who entered the series with HCA

It's raining in California in May. Sign of the apocalypse.

OK. Think how suicidal we all were after game one.

I hurt lots but have to have faith they can dig deep in a must win.

And if it comes down to losing a tight series with two injured centers, you know, we are not forever doomed or disgraced.

Now just go win the fucking game Tuesday.

For all those saying Dame is bad... dude is facing so much pressure from the Nuggets defense and is still averaging 27 PPG... he isn’t backing down, his shot is also bound to start falling more consistently again.
Shouldn't he have learned how to handle pressure and get the ball quickly to someone besides Aminu? Or is this a coaching problem?

Dame has been awful from FT since last 4 games of regular season. He continued to carry it through play offs. My only answer is he started working much more on shooting 3s then FT, because this is not a choke job i have watched every blazers game this season and i know very well when he started shooting bricks at FT line happen way earlier than play offs began
He is only 5 for 17 from three in this series so he is not shooting threes well either.

you're completely full of shit

Dame was 22-23 (95.6%) from the line in the last 4 RS games, and 36-38 (94.7%) over the last 8 RS games

do you think that kind of lie is hard to check?

In all seriousness, I think we would have won this game if we had Ed instead of Collins. And probably that other one we lost.
I like some of you guys when we loose some always blame Zach on the lost. I am sorry it was about a lot the things that result to this loss

Tough to beat a good team 3 times in a row, especially in the playoffs.

But this series could still easily end in 6.

Showed we can win in Denver and haven't seen the best of Dame yet.

Yeah I'm pretty down
It's alright bro. I totally understand. Just an emotional loss. Would have been great to get that win. Just think though. This series has been awesome and the Blazers absolutely can get a win on their court. Got to give credit to both teams for playing their hearts out. They are leaving it all out on the court.

He is bound to have a big game eventually here.

See why I tell ya Denver has a bright future???

Blazers been here many times where Denver all this is new to them..

Blazers can’t even beat a new inexperienced team in the 2nd round

Long story short, blazers need to realize this shit is rare and take advantage of it...

But ah well 2nd round ain’t bad..!! Good for the baby nuggets
