If the Blazers are eliminated, will you continue to watch the NBA Playoffs?

In a way I almost wish Crabbe stayed cold in the playoffs. I think the last couple of games may have gotten him a raise. Just from a standpoint of having to match....
Agreed. Although it was also nice to see him step up.

Not sure you realize exactly how much cap space the Blazers will have?
I read that excerpt to mean that if we play a new rim protector type guy, Plums would be on the bench. We wouldn't have him in there to get the benefit of his ball handling and passing skills.

I was using what B-Roy posted.......The Blazers will have around $25.5 million if you keep Harkless, Crabbe, and Leonard's cap hold, but renounce Hendo. And if you pay Whiteside about $23 million that does not leave much left.

Here was his breakdown:

Guaranteed Salary (under contract) $ 47,102,74
Inclusive* (Includeds QO & Non Guaranteed) $ 59,668,805
*(C Alexander / Montero @$874,636 Unguaranteed / Crabbe $2,725,003 / Maurice Harkless & Meyers Leonard @ $4,045,849)

Cap Holds - Additional cost over QOs
Maurice Harkless - $7,235,148 - 4,045,849 - + $ 3,189,254
Meyers Leonard - $7,689,700 - 4,045,849 - + $ 3,643,851
Allen Crabbe - $2,725,003 difference from QO - + $0

Gerald Henderson - $0 Inclusive - $9M Cap Hold - + $9,000,000

Inclusive adjusted from Offers to Cap Holds
1* with Harkless / Crabbe / Leonard $ 66,501,910 (12 players)
2* add Gerald Henderson (bird rigts?) $ 75,501,910 (13 players)
$92M salary Cap less $66.5M is what we have left to spend. ($1.6M more if you waive Alexander and Montero)

$2M Verejao stretch provision. I think Hendo's cap hold is $11M+...

It looks like the NBA average salary is $5.739M for cap calculation purposes. If Hendo truly made $6M, his cap hold is $9M after all. If he made less than $5.739M, his cap hold is close to the $11M+ number.

Just finished watching the game, fucking curry man.
But what a great game, what a way to end the season. To just think that we gave a hard time to the defending champs in the 2nd round is crazy !
now 2 things:
1) Draymond seriously can't to anything to get ejected... The guy was screaming, punching the air, waving his arm... He even hit the refs and didn't even fucking apologized after, what the fuck ??
2) YOU GOTTA MAKE YOUR FREETHROWS

So... Is it the preseason already ? I'm hyped.

By the way, in the serie, the Warriors had the lead for 94 minutes and 55 seconds.
The Blazers ? 138 minutes and 15 seconds.

That's pretty cool
That's an awesome factoid, it kinda shows our weakness though, finishing. But we will improve as guys mature on the court more and we add another guy who can get buckets.

It seemed to me that we did lead more than them. Thanks for dropping the raw facts.

You can lead by 1 for 47 minutes, 59 seconds, but if you trail by 1 after that, you lose.

Fraizer got waived half a season ago, we owe him nothing as is...neither do we owe Miller anything....I don't think Meyers is coming back, I smell a sign a trade
Of course we owe him nothing next year. But he is on the books this year. Look at the numbers and you will figure it out.
Also Blazers are still not completely out of the woods on Anderson. But they will be in July.
Here is another thing...What happens if they start getting production from Montero Cannaughton or Alexander? Those guys are dirt cheap.

I absolutely love Dame. My wife even got my son and I matching jerseys today!

That being said, his hero ball frustrated me at the end with CJ on fire in the fourth quarter. Either way, we wouldn't have gotten this far without him, but I hope that he can slow down on his "Dame Time" attempts and try feeding the hot hand in the future.

At what point should Terry step in though? Dame isn't the kind of guy to tell Terry to fuck off, so at some point the coach needs to actually speak up and say, "feed CJ."

Definitely. Their only advantage was veteran playoff experience and maturity. The Blazers just got a good dose of that.

The thing is Connaughton, Montero, and Alexander are never gonna get the minutes to be very productive....they are basically seat warmers, just in case guys, cheap contracts to get us to 15 bodies

You might be right on that. I sure hope they do get a chance though.

Which in Montero's case sucks a bit because he has the best handle, the best passing ability and is the 2nd best shooter of any of our options at SF.

I hope Dame is taking this young man under his wing this summer. We need to get him on the court next season.

It's even harder for Alexander because he is stuck behind alot of our other bigs....I wanted to see what he was about...heard good things

I disagree, there is something to playing the long game with our young guys, with continued development those guys will eventually crack the rotation when we let players go for cap reasons in the future.

The Thing about that is, before they e eventually might find themselves in the rotation, they aren't getting enough time on the floor to improve, then the players before them who spent a year getting experience, and just good, are leaving...guys like connaughton, Montero, and Alexander step in and we have wait another year just for them to catch up...it's a hamster wheel man

Summer League is gonna be tons of fun to watch this year (Especially if we draft GP2)
