Had a fire weather warning on my phone this morning. Hoping that the cause originates from the Rose Garden area because the Blazers are scorching the nets and burning down the house with how hot they are tonight.

Go Blazers!

Game 7 is Sunday.

I hope Blazers will go to Denver straight after game 6. This altitude is killing them.

As for today I'll put Meyers on Jokic from the start and tell him to act like it was De Marcus Cousins. Just get under his skin early. Jokic will go with some obvious tech and be ejected finaly, cos he so sure he can do anything. With some luck he will be suspended for game 7;)

And then, if Kanter can still play, put him wit the second unit to go +20. Easy.

It's time for everyone to get their heads on straight and start pulling for a win!
I don't want this series to end in six in the Rose Garden with Paul Allen looking on from above!

Get this win Blazers! Play hard and don't let them close you out!

In the past two games i didnt write "zero chance" and we lost both games, i'm superstitious so here we go again: Zero chance we can win this game fams

Anyone know the starters yet? I keep hoping Terry will mix it up but I am 99% sure this game will be played out like all the others: complete inability to defend Millsap and co. That's not to say Blazers lose but it will be a tough road to a win (let alone 2 wins) without some alterations in strategy.

Serious question: how did the Spurs give Denver such a hard time? Why can't Portland try to do that? No reason to reinvent the wheel. Denver clearly has weaknesses that can be exploited. Talent wise, I don't see the Spurs' cup overflowing.

If the Blazers win today exactly how is it that the Spurs gave Denver a harder time?

I am trying to be positive.

I do find it kind of amusing the number of people who have convinced themselves that Meyers is the key to the series.
I don't think anyone has described him as being a "key to the series". He can, however, play a very important - but limited - roll. Meyers can do 2 things really well. 1) Play physical (and annoying the opposition) and 2) set really good screens. He's also a decent rebounder and shooter.

If played for short stretches, Portland could really use the skills he brings to the table. He's our primary 'goon squad' player.

we pretty much know what Meyers can do since his skill-set is so limited, and that includes being "physical"

but he's played in about 400 games, and in probably 350 of those games, he's been a net negative, and that includes 'physical" defense. Now, maybe he'll show up and limit Jokic a bit; get under his skin. But his help defense will almost certainly suck and Jokic can still pass around and past Meyers.

sure, it's worth a shot. But going by 7 years of Meyers, it has to be a long shot for this to work out well. Maybe a little better odds than grasping at straws

and I don't want Denver to have a 15-20 FT advantage. Between 'Zach-normal' and 'physical-Meyers', the Nuggets could spend half the game in the penalty
