Denver bench, I think. Pretty sure that's what the Nuggets announcers were referring to right before Hastings advocated kicking Nurk in the shins.
If so that makes sense the comment even worse. Turner flipped em off so you retaliate by hurting Nurk? Wtf.

went something like

"Turner flips off the denver bench..."
"And now Nurkic on the bench acting tough guy"
"Well he always act like that"
"Yeah...... Kick him in the shin"
"Ahah"

Great game last night and a gutsy effort. I find it rather shameful how many bandwagon fans this forum has as several members essentially quit on this team before the game.

I love having him out there. He's our Tasmanian devil. I just wish he would wait a few minutes before he fires up his first 3 of the night...he almost always misses those. No doubt he has a lot of confidence in his shot, which I like, but still .....maybe run up and down the court a few times first?
Zach is "The Zman"

Aminu 17 min
Harkless 16 min
Zach 29 min
Hood 32 min

I give Stotts props for that. Not sure about Turner 19 minutes tho
Props for doing what every knowledgable fan wouldve done? I hold him to a higher standard than that.

You got it right, they are bandwagon fans! Real fans and/or athletes never give up...
So what do you call what the Blazers did in game 5 then? They pretty much gave up...

I think its a joke to call people especially most of the members here “Bandwagon” fans, most of us are pretty hardcore Blazer fans for a large part of our lives. So what we thought the Blazers might lose a game, that means we “gave up on them?”. No just means that were people... Just as much as I hate the “meltdowns” of the people and myself in games or shortly after, I find it so annoying when people rush on here to say, hah all you guys who spend way too much of your life talking Blazers, well you arent “real” fans...

No person nerdy enough to join a fan forum and post regularly could ever be accused of being a bandwagon fan. Period.

Exactly. I'd like to know the names of these people that they think are "bandwagon" fans.

why do you need to have people named? Read the posts and see who mentioned that they weren't going to watch the game and that they are done with the team after game 5 as they predicted that we were going to lose game 6 anyway. It's there in black and white. You just need to open your eyes.

You may think it's a joke, but nothing is more pathetic than for a "fan" to post in a forum that they are done with this team and won't watch game 6 and some saying we are going to lose anyway. You say the team quit in game 5? I say they played a bad game. Their response in game 6 pretty much prove this team is not a quitter. This team has proven to me from the whole season that they don't quit.

I say in game 5 I saw only the 2nd half because of other commitments, but that was a team that quit. They were jogging up and down the court on defense, they’re were stretches of the 3rd that Dame was the only player who even appeared to sort of be interested in basketball, call it whatever you want. Yeah the meltdowns are annoying, and the doom and gloom of emotional fans (I include myself here) is frustrating, but you realize that almost everyone in this forum is not even close to a “bandwagon fan”, would venture to guess almost all us watched game 6. Its called emotions and its a rollercoaster ride at times but thats part of being a fan. Most of us will be here all off season talking about the Blazers, we’ll watch summer league games, get excited for players we know have a long way to go, our time investment just on this site alone lends to a large majority of us are NOT band wagon fans.
Im all good if you want us to eat crow for thinking they would lose game 6. Im down for ribbing us fans who thought they would want less games than they did. Im not down for calling people bandwagon fans because their emotional reaction to a sport and a team isn't the response you like. All sports franchises want fans who are emotionally invested in them, which the Blazers have and that includes the good, the bad and the ugly.

Imagine if no matter what your wife was like: "Yes dear, you're right. You never make a mistake." Oh wait, that would be awesome. Bad example.

Stotts has already proven he's a pretty good NBA coach. Knowledgeable fans know that.

I watch games in the arena and at the bars and at friends' houses, and I can tell you knowledgeable fans are not the blind rah rah rah fans, they are the nervous ones who know how much times is left on the clock and which players are playing well and when we are playing hero ball when we should be running plays and so forth. It isn't negative to be observant or critical, I don't think.

Its negative and not "knowledgeable" to think something differently than Cup though.

Because if you're going to talk shit about people you might as well name names.

From the beginning of the year there were those that wanted Stotts and Neil fired and thats their prerogative, just give them credit when they excel above many team's year. They wouldn't even give them an opportunity to achieve. For me its the way its the ruthless criticism, with a lack of respect, but when things go right or we are humming, they change and get giddy until we lose a few.
I didn't call everyone in here bandwagon fans, either, however there is a decent %.
Im for people having their own opinions and even being critical but its should be offset once in a while with, wow maybe I was wrong or props to the GM or coach.
There are those that have and I respect them very much.

Wherever there is fandom, you'll find bandwagon fans! when they are winning...

Here's my question though, how many of the posters were here last year, even right after they got swept. Their fandom in the franchise didn't go away, we just wanted changes to be made. Saying were bandwagon fans because we didn't think they'd win game 6, didn't stop most of us (that I know of) from watching it. Game 7's are incredibly hard on the road and I'm not sure they can win it, but I'll still be glued to my TV hoping they can. I sure didn't think they would win game 6, game 5 it looked to me like they just hit a wall. Hardly any "regular" of this site or sites like it are bandwagon fans in my opinion. Even the "younger ones" have lived through a lot of tough losses, and you know what a lot of us have seen 0 Blazer championships and were still on here cheering and going on a roller coaster ride with the team.

Do I, and some of the posters on here go overboard with their dislike of individual players, coaches, GM's sure, and it's fair to keep us in check. I just really think to throw out the term bandwagon "fans" to a group of people who are literally not even old enough to have seen this franchise win a championship seems backward. It's not like we've jumped to Golden State Fandom...

Fair enough I wasn't trying to label the mass as bandwagon fans. Just point out there are some that when things art looking great its all doom and gloom and fire everyone. Just my opinion., wasn't wanting to offend anyone.

Fair enough, and I'm not sure I'm offended, so much as it's like I really do have an emotional investment in this team and the franchise. I totally realize that it's annoying and frustrating for some when there's constant complaining.

Anyways, How is your knee doing?

Man, the Blazer game can't get here soon enough. It will at least put a temporary end to the sniping in this forum for a couple of hours. Who cares who is a bandwagoner or not. Most of us love the Blazers and just want the best for them.

For what its worth Hoopguru is one of my favorite posters and I may not sound like it here, but I really appreciate his outlook on things.

Doing well, just now walking without the use of a cane. It still gets swollen so i just ice it a couple times a day.
Still doing PT twice a week and back to the gym riding bike and lifting some.
Going to start our camping routine 1st part of June though August then couple weeks in Maui October. Then the right knee done in November.
Thanks for asking.
