Purely a hypothetical question: which team would you want the Blazers to face in this year's Finals?

The whole point of bringing in guys like Curry was to put shooters around Dame....... and then we play Dame with Aminu and Harkless. It doesn't make sense.
Curry has been godawful.

Happy its at 12:30 so i can watch the first half at home, and the second half driving to work I can listen to... And I'll have work distract me if wr win or lose.
the plus side of this being in the middle of the day is whatever emotions I gotta work through wont they keep me up until 2-3 in the morning. How am I suppose to sleep after 4 OT’s or Dame hitting a series winner in PG’s grill.

On defense, play Joker straight up most the time but do a few doubles and traps to keep him thinking. Same for Murray. Play everyone else straight up forcing them to create. They are very limited offensively. Limit layups and wide open threes. Box out when the shot goes up.

Offensively work for good looks. Denver D breaks down after a few rotations. Don't settle for hard shots early in the clock. Dame or CJ can always get a tricky but makeable shot at the end of the clock if required. Trust the open teammate, don't force action into double teams. If open teammates miss sub in others.

Go with the same starters but if Aminu and Harkless are terrible on offense sub them out early. Play the bench big minutes and pull players out of the game before they get tired. We will need to keep players fresh from the altitude.

I want good looks on offense and no lapses on defense. I think the Nuggets could wilt under the pressure. They tried to in game 7 against the Spurs, the Spurs were even worse. I don't believe the Blazers with Dame and CJ leadership have any concerns of pressure.

We can still play bad and go home losers though. If the Nuggets make difficult shots or the Blazers shoot terrible there's nothing they can do of that. I just want to see max effort and good decisions.

Go Blazers!

very good point

and I'll say it again: Aminu and Harkless have been the starting forwards for 4 years and in every one of those 4 years it's been painfully apparent Portland desperately needed an upgrade at one of those positions. There's really no good excuse for why it hasn't happened

Here's the thing. Jockitch has shown himself to be a total wimp (won't use the p word)

He gives out cheap shots left and right, but if someone gets physical with him at all, he acts like it's the crime of the century.

Get physical with him.

Send in The Hammer.

Everyone is coming over for Mothers Day at 4. Praying Im in a good mood. I wish it was after.

Honestly i have zero confidence in Terry Stotts for this game.
Stotts is the one person I'm most worried about. He'll look at game 6, and say "See, that Harkless and Aminu starting unit, nothing wrong with that, we won." Except when he put together a unit that everyone wanted to see, it was superior to his sacred starting group. Who's he going to start game 7 with? Everyone says he'll have a quick trigger finger if Harkless/Aminu doesn't work out. What the hell kind of crap is that? I want to get up by 15 as soon as possible. Stotts seems to want to flirt with being down by 15. Rodney Hood played 10 minutes less than CJ McCollum in game 6. Why?

I like the 12:30 start here in Denver. The Blazers can wake up and boom, the game is here. Otherwise they have to kill a day in this s***hole, where they would have nothing to do but stare at the walls. Meanwhile, if the game were later, the Nuggets wake up in their beds, hang out at home and show up to the arena as part of their usual routine.

A 12:30 day game is unusual, so it tends to diminish their home court advantage. The Pepsi Center isn't really loud anyway because most people here aren't particularly passionate about basketball. We punch them in the mouth, and the fans will go quiet.

P.S. I'd like to win tomorrow and then have one of the Blazers kick the s*** out of Scott Hastings shin. The f***wad p***k rode the Pistons' bench to a couple of rings and pretends he's a Bad Boy. F*** that guy.

Ive watched some nuggets broadcasts and that guy has always been a dick to everyone. He does not seem to be a very nice guy.

Find someone with a niner then ;)

He was a Detroit Piston Bad Boy, what’d you expect?

I am pumped up as anybody here. But I have to ask this. Why has Denver best home record and could altitude be bit of a reason too? Team looked lost in G1 and they looked much better in G2 (after they spent some time in Denver. Next first night in Denver it was a blownout. Why I am the only one to think those two things can connect? Why could't they go there ASAP? I hope they got some magical oxygen bottles or something that help them go over it. Have they?

Psst... it was a joke.

I was trying to make HCP think that we actually wanted him to make a game thread. He's like a 2 year first learning to finger paint. 'It's a masterpiece!"
Rainman with none of the cognitive skills....sad

Someone posted some data that suggests it might be better to go at the last minute in this situation than to be there a couple days to acclimate. We'll see.

Ok, that's good enough for me. Day is better already. Back to Destroy Them! mode. Tnx Hoops;)

Dame said that first quarter is pretty hard in terms of getting use to the altitude. I hope Stotts will take as many timeouts as he can and try to slow down the game in the beginning so they won't get a huge lead at the jump again.

Don't bet much but Scott Foster makes it quite easy. Then put the house money on the next two games.... first on Denver, then on Portland. Struggling with what to do on this one. It's so rare for teams to win road Game 7's. Combine that with the Denver record at home and my brain can't do what my heart wants.

Half the money on Denver to win.... praying that I'm wrong and lose the bet but still walk away up 50%.
