Purely a hypothetical question: which team would you want the Blazers to face in this year's Finals?

Don't bet much but Scott Foster makes it quite easy. Then put the house money on the next two games.... first on Denver, then on Portland. Struggling with what to do on this one. It's so rare for teams to win road Game 7's. Combine that with the Denver record at home and my brain can't do what my heart wants.

Half the money on Denver to win.... praying that I'm wrong and lose the bet but still walk away up 50%.

What an awesome bookie.
I'd be up by 25% if i pick Denver, but up 140% if i'll be a good fan and pick Portland:banghead2:

I can't even bring myself to pick Portland(+5) to be up 80% Shame on me lol

One interesting option: who will score more? CJ or Jamal to double your wager, Kanter for the 4x....

I have to go to Houston for a week or so tomorrow I was really hoping that Houston would win the GS series so I could possibly catch game 3 down there against the Blazers.:crystalball:

I bet so rarely that getting into some of the parlays or prop bets is well beyond my comfort zone. Wouldn't have bet on this series except that Scott Foster reffed in Portland and he is so predictable and historically so. Then just played house money on the home team ever since. Don't make as much just betting on the favorite although did take the Blazers and the points in Game 6 if I'm saying that correctly.

See...not much of a bettor.

I think single over\under bets after January are the best bets you can get in NBA basketball, you just need a good formula, big enough sample size and fair odds (around 1.90+ per bet).

But it's been ages since I've experimented with this nonsense. Gambling is too much pressure and the odds work against you all the time.

Whatever happens today...we walk away proud of what we HAVE seen in terms of growth from a squad that couldn’t get past the Pelicans. from a squad that was told that they wouldn’t even be an 8th seed with LeBron in the West. From a squad that lost their owner ans has their center hurt 3 days before the playoffs.

It’s about to be extremely hard to walk into Denver and take this final win.

I’m proud of these guys either way. We made some BIG moments for ourselves this year. From the shot heard around the world against OKC or the 4OT win. It’s been one hell of a ride and I hope it continues after today.

#RIPCITY #FORLIFE

I thought about it and i think keeping Kanter,Hood (and Curry) in the summer would be as big of an accomplishment as getting to the WCF - Even at the price of losing Aminu,Harkless (and Meyers).

Would love to see us remain at this level, this is the amount of talent we need in order to ascend higher.

Exactly. We couldn’t do the things we’ve done in the playoffs this year without Kanter and Hood. Those two pick ups have defined our season almost. Having a bench this good is a blessing.

Even while losing those guys, it will be a very tough task.
We shall see what no can do. Meyers stock is up a bit from last year due to consistent play this year. Aminu is a ufa, so he is gone. Collins will start next year. Hark is probably still a slight negative to his contract but probably still movable.
It all depends on what comes in in return.

You lose those guys and now hood is starting and not on the bench.

This is it. This game is for all the marbles. All the marbles that we fans have been losing over the roller-coaster course of this series.

First Game 7 for Dame. It's the biggest game of his career. How will he respond to the pressure?

The Blazers have already had the two most dramatic wins of the post-season (i.e., Dame's 37-footer to send OKC home and the 4OT game). Can Portland produce another exciting victory against the team who has the best home court advantage in the NBA? If so, we truly are the Team of Destiny.

Both teams will be throwing everything they have at this game. Both teams will be desperate. But only one team will walk away into the next round.
@Darkwebs :Another spectacular piece of work. Your collection of work ought to be featured at the city art museum.

How many teams have won a road game 7? Red Jerseys? Hmm I don’t like em. What’s our playoff record wearing those?

I believe we are 1-2 all time in Game 7s.

Edit: 28 of the 132 Game 7s have been won by the road team according to Google.
Dame's game with the 37 footer to win and the 4OT game are in the same odds category. I believe we will win! The red jerseys are not my to my liking as well.

My weekend is already jacked. During a routine kayake survey yesterday to check on the 3 American Oystercatcher nests I found this week on one of my research routes, I came across one of the breeding adults with fishing line wrapped around its legs, cutting off all circulation. Spent all of last night trying to trap the poor bird to no avail. Heading back out now with a couple of new trap methods. If I can get her today, I'll be fine for game 7. If she eludes me again today, I'll probably have to miss the game. Wish me luck. This bird needs it.
I didn’t know you’re a birder. Like professional status, that’s awesome. I’m a huge bird-nerd, to the point where my friends make fun of me. Good luck I hope you catch your bird, and the game.

Ye of little faith..
I changed my Mothers Day activities to today early last week.
I'm very happy the game is 12:30...i simply cannot stand waiting all day besides I'm down to biting knuckles since the nails are gone!
And...my GF and i were planning on going to the coast mid-week, that's been postponed.
I could not get PSU to change their ceremony times on that late of notice?

I will do better next time!

We need both Damian and CJ to have big games today. They need scoring from the bench, another 20+ point game from any one of them, like Hood from last game, would be huge. Keep turnovers low and from what I have been observing, hit your 3 point shots. The games in which the Blazers shoot poorly from 3 point land are the games they struggle to win.

They need to limit the Nuggets offensive rebounds and out hustle them all game. Defend, defend, defend!

I will miss the first half of the game, can't be avoided, ugh.

Warriors here we come. Go Blazers!

Will all the way teams c
I like the 12:30 start here in Denver. The Blazers can wake up and boom, the game is here. Otherwise they have to kill a day in this s***hole, where they would have nothing to do but stare at the walls. Meanwhile, if the game were later, the Nuggets wake up in their beds, hang out at home and show up to the arena as part of their usual routine.

A 12:30 day game is unusual, so it tends to diminish their home court advantage. The Pepsi Center isn't really loud anyway because most people here aren't particularly passionate about basketball. We punch them in the mouth, and the fans will go quiet.

P.S. I'd like to win tomorrow and then have one of the Blazers kick the s*** out of Scott Hastings shin. The f***wad p***k rode the Pistons' bench to a couple of rings and pretends he's a Bad Boy. F*** that guy.
I remember him your right he wasn't much at the NBA level.

Good thing we been very good at 12:30 start time. The winner today game will the team the little things and who getting the loose balls. Who my X factors I got 2 of them Harkless and Aminu I am looking Aminu have good game on offensive and a lot better defense on Millsap and Harkless is great defense game against Murray if both players do that this game will send us to WCF.

I just hope we don't lose a close game and have to think about all the what ifs and bad calls. Would rather it be decisive. .or win on a last second Damian 3

When Nurk went out with that gruesome injury, I was sure that we were a first round exit despite Kanter doing his thing. Before the last game of the season, I was hoping that we'd lose in order to see OKC play HOU in the first round since I can't stand either team. Going into the series against OKC, I was nervous because everyone was saying that they haven't won a playoff series since KD's departure nor have they won a road playoff game during that stretch. Game 1 occurs and our ball movement and player involvement was BEAUTIFUL in the 1Q. What happened afterwards was complete shit and we were lucky that OKC couldn't hit 3s that game. Game 3 occurs and it was type of game where no matter how close we were to cutting the lead/tying the game, we weren't going to get over the hump since the refs had other plans. That game was the ultimate frontrunner display from OKC. Nice for us to steal a game over there and close it out in EPIC fashion in gm 5.

I also believed the Nuggets were fool's gold and I wasn't sure they were going to win their series against the Spurs. Winning that game in San Antonio did wonders as DeRozan transformed to Playoff DeRozan in gm 7. I didn't know what to expect from this series, but to win a game in Denver. The 3Q and the refs were the reasons why we lost gm 4. I was certain we'd lose gm 5, but to bounce back in gm 6 after a pitiful start was great.

So here we are. Game 7. Denver, Colorado with that altitude. First game 7 since 2000. First ever in the Lillard Era. I legit don't know what to expect. We have gone toe-to-toe with the 2nd best team in the West without our starting center and our backup center essentially playing with one shoulder. We have seen the likes of Hood and, to an extent, Collins grow up before our eyes. I'm happy that we get the early game since I live on the East Coast. If we were to lose, I hope we don't get blown out nor lose by a game winning shot. If we were to lose, the WCF will be MUCH MORE TOLERABLE for me since my hatred for the Rockets is on par with the (L)akers. Folks, you don't understand. I wouldn't even have the stomach to watch the WCF if the Rockets came back and won the series. I don't like the Warriors by ANY MEANS, but I like their ball movement and the Splash Bros are amazing to watch when they're on their game. Besides, I'll gladly watch the Warriors win one more title if that guarantees Durant leaving them in free agency.

As much as I hope we win, this Blazers team has exceeded my expectations big time. If anything else, if we can retain Kanter and Hood, I'd be ecstatic. I don't know how, but please get it done. That's all I ask.

Good Morning fellow fanatics!!

I got a good feelin' today.
I see where the Blazers are scheduled to fly back to PDX tonite.
Was wondering if anyone wants to greet them (like we did back in '77)?
They work out of the chartered zone so access is difficult but maybe @SlyPokerDog. or @
@ThePosterFormerlyKnownAsTheHCP. could arrange clearance or something?
Their itinerary has them landing at 6:45pm.
Now they could change and fly directly to SanFrancisco instead.
Anybody interested?
