As a steel bender, this is appalling. There isn't a stadium designed today that doesn't have rounded beams, or corners. But I guess i'm wrong on that. this should be demolished. What penny pinching BS...Ugliest thing I've ever seen and all they had todo was round the roof off instead of segment it like lincoln logs..


Major fail.

But not arrest worthy.

I don't think it was a penny pinching move. I think it was a design choice.

I'm sure the overall price was considered when the proposals were made, but there appear to be plenty of rounded beams and corners inside.

Bending structural steel beams is extremely expensive. I'd could easily double the cost of the stadium roof. If they had the interior structural beams bent but didn't follow that line on the exterior, major fail. Why pay for that expensive process and not show it off to the world?

To give you an idea, the globe in Vegas was bid one with bent material. over a million dollars in labor alone to bend it up. not to mention when bending steel it creates a 10-20% loss of material that is required to grab onto to bend and then gets cut off the usable section.

Either way. Major fail.

At the very least the charges have been reduced and he's no longer being held...but seriously, arresting a guy for being pissed that a speeding, uncontrolled vehicle plowed into his business is pretty freaking ridiculous.
