One of Florida's keys is home to upscale community where houses start at $10 million. Residents include Jeff Bezos, Tom Brady, Ivanka and Jared. But even rich people need to shit. Sewers carried rich shit across a 99% community for treatment. Residents thought the rich people should pay fee for moving shit through their community. So fearless Ron DeSantis stepped in and prohibited charging billionaires for handling their shit.

Like the Lannisters, they shit gold, at least in their own minds.
 
Mitch McConnell told Republicans who fear getting trounced in elections over Medicaid cuts that people will get over losing Medicaid. Or at least they will die and can't vote against senators responsible.

Why is it so hard for some people to understand that taxes are the price we pay to live in a civilized society??? It isn't "taxes" that are the problem. It's how our elected leaders choose to spend that money. Fix that and everyone will be falling all over themselves to pay their taxes......or at least the ones with even a shred of intelligence and common sense.
 
Cuomo is reentering the NY Mayor race as an independent. I'm guessing he will get more DNC and DNC big donor money then Mamdani.

Morons are incurious. They don't like to think shit through. They view thinking as a chore or worse a punishment. So they stopped thinking about a thing after they heard exactly one explanation for that aspect of the world. They don't need to think anymore; they were given an explanation. Taxes bad! Reagan said! And they don't *want* to think anymore because it's fucking hard to think all the time. It's work!

They look at us, people who like to think, and we look like those weird CrossFit guys to them. "Eww, who would want to do that?" they scoff. "All they do is exercise their brains all day." They call us elites because thinking is considered good by society. They resent thinkers because de-industrialization has made thinking the only way to get better jobs. So they don't listen, because listening is work they don't want to do, and they hate us for telling them to think.

Then the internet made it easy to grift morons. Easy to become a micro-celebrity. So now, we're stupid for being thinkers because they've figured out you can be a moron and you can be rich through grift, you can be famous through celebrity, and you can be the President of the United States through both. They've got Generative AI on their side, technology specifically marketed to morons that will bridge the gap and give morons a chance to take the high paying jobs from thinkers.

Because a moron economy isn't about making, it's about taking. Morons take money from others through trickery and grift. Tax evasion. Morons consolidate power away from inclusion. Morons eliminate diversity of thought. Competition is anathema to Morons because they lose in any competitive environment.

They look at us running around thinking and shit, and they see people doing work they don't have to. They feel superior. And why not? The richest man in the world is a Moron. The president is a Moron. Lots of world leaders were Morons. Hitler was a Moron! Stop thinking, and it all gets so much easier. Take the blue pill, and you don't have to worry about shit. You out-of-the-matrix weirdos, all you get is sack cloth clothes and weird slop food. Morons get to eat fake steak in a fake restaurant and never have to worry that all of it is an illusion.

"Moron Culture" is a pretty accurate term. They are so insistent on tax breaks for the rich that they can't see what a huge kick in the balls it is for them. Growing up in the '60's I lived pretty much next door to a Portland city park. That park had two swimming pools (still does). As a kid, I literally went swimming every single summer day for FREE, year in, year out. The parks put on arts and crafts programs for a very minimal fee. This is just one example of how life used to be (and could still be) when the rich actually paid their fair share of taxes. Over time, they have gotten one tax break on top of another, until they barely pay any taxes at all. On the rare occasions those swimming pools are now open during the summer, a fee is now charged. Arts and crafts programs no longer exist. This is just one single example. Because the rich do not want to pay their fair share, our country looks more and more like a third world shithole with every passing day. But then, the rich has the resources to keep that reality at bay while the rest of us fight over the scraps. Gawd I am SOOOOOOOOOO fucking proud to be an American........

He also lied saying Europe banned fluoride.
