Book banners came to California. School board meeting in San Ramon was inundated by protesters after a video circulated on right wing media claiming a student had received a zero in English class for refusing to read Gender Queer.

It was a fake. Three high schools each have a single copy of the book in their library. It is not assigned in any class. No student or parent had filed a complaint about being required to read Gender Queer because it isn't required.

Who needs facts when you have hate?

Students overwhelmingly opposed censorship. One student aptly pointed out anyone with cell phone or computer has access to porn.

Most students had been unaware of the book. I would bet it gets more readers now.

The book is still available.

Another group is suing because sex education class in San Francisco has too much information.
 
Senator Marsha Blackburn said the US military is weak and ineffective and blamed them being woke. By which she means not all are straight white and Christian.

That didn't go well for Ted Cruz when he criticized US military, comparing them unfavorably to manly Russian army.

The left made an entire thread here just so that they can shit on the right wing in it for their corruption. Yet can't handle a few posts shitting on the left wing for the lefts corruption.

I am beginning to see the left as nothing but a pack of pussies that can't handle the truth. But the same can be said for the entirety of the right wing. So it's simply a push...

Edit: When you literally watch both the left wing as well as the right wing run and hide from the truth, you understand that neither side even cares about what the truth really is. If it is about their party, their eyes and ears are shut tight.

I might be misremembering but I truly don't recall @Road Ratt using the kind of invective towards Trump and his supporters as he does to Biden and his supporters. It's not political disagreement. I have many disagreements with Biden, starting with capitalism. It sounds more like absolute visceral hate.

I don't claim to know what is in someone else's head. I can only say the impression I get.

My problem with DNC Dems is that they pretend to be your friend, then stab you in the back.

Our current system corrupts anyone who is serious about winning.

Capitalism based systems aren't bad, if they are checked. Nordic and Scandinavian countries are capitalism based markets. But they have rational limits and guide rails maintained by legitimate adults. They have a floor on how far capitalism can hold one down, and they use the efficiency of capitalism to help fund building people up.
 
Radically extreme political individuals are similar to0 radically extreme religious zealots. Their way or the highway. Take no prisoners indoctrinate the other side. No room for compromise or the ability to discuss things with respect to individuals that may have differing views on things. As a percentage they are small and I hope it stays that way.
I love that our culture has a variety of people and it's fun and rewarding to get to know them. Our block party each summer is represented by families & individuals that are of different religions, ethnicity, political views but we live together in community have have gotten to know and respect each other. We help each other in need. Its rewarding.

You have strong opinions on both of the major political parties. That's different than truth. Not knocking you but you use very biased sources. Doesn't mean they're wrong or bad, just biased.
