We are all hypocrites. Each and every one of us.

You don't believe me. That is your choice. But first, listen.

While we have all been taught to care about America, we have all learned to not care about humans. They sit on our sidewalks, in our parks, under bridges, etc. . The problem is only becoming worse, even under Biden. Yet I don't see anyone who actually gives a crap about them. We praise these a-holes running our country while our new governor Kotek tells us: "We can't get the homeless off of our streets faster than they are hitting them". We have commercials about helping stray/abused pets, yet not one commercial in all of America to help our homeless humans. Americans at that, I might add.

No, people. You think you care about something. You actually don't care.. at all. As you have as little morals as the country you support, that can allow this to happen to it's citizens.

In the end we are all hypocrites.

I know you appreciate all kinds of music
These guys are old here but I saw then several times in 70's.

Every year I lead a group of volunteers on the largest single food drive of the year. I have personally collected enough food to feed over 640,000 people.

I've adopted stray pets.

I brought to people food, medicine, and tests during the worst of the pandemic.

I'd be curious to know what do you.

Charity and helping people start locally.

There's a huge difference between those sites based on facts as opposed to those sites based on opinion.

Millions of dollars in grants are right now building homeless shelters in Coos Bay and Eugene and other Oregonian communities...what you are saying is not true...lots of people care and Biden has funded relief. I've seen a lot of progress in Eugene...also lots of warming shelters are free and mostly church organized...to say noone cares is disingenuous when so many volunteers are working these shelters and getting funding for shelters. Change doens't happen in the news...it happens in real life. I think volunteers deserve respect for having selfless morals and going the extra mile for the needy. Persective. Have you volunteered in a shelter? I worked with the disabled as did my wife before I retired....people do a lot of good in the world that doesn't get noticed.

I don't care what a human has to say, at all.

It isn't a matter of disagreement. It is a matter of people not actually giving a crap about politics. If they did, they should certainly be able to see beyond their own party lines. Yet, 99+% of all people talking politics, lean towards one party or the other and therefore will only believe anything negative you post about that other party, and not believe anything negative you ever post about the party that they support.

It is very clear that: Once you've picked your party... your bias is already set in stone.

I will still post, but if all a person can do is defend their party, by default. I don't care what you have to say about said matter. Period.

Edit: I do find it very telling though. People who have stated that my sources are too biased, have given likes to them when those articles are about the republicans, yet they are simply too biased when the same sources article is about the democrats.

Go figure.

I never said they were too biased.

Here is what I said.

You have strong opinions on both of the major political parties. That's different then truth. Not knocking you but you use very biased sources. Doesn't mean they're wrong or bad, just biased.

You do realize that everything you've said today falls apart when you mispresent what people said, right?

...

And sometimes a biased opinion or narrative can provide insight into the beliefs you hold.

I like to read Aljazeera. It provides a unique perspective that is not democrat, republican, or northern hemisphere based. Do I agree with it? Not always. But it's important to read.

All you want to do is whine and point fingers. You don't know us or what we might be doing to help solve problems in our communities. Nor have you answered Sly's question as to what YOU are trying to do to make a difference. Put some skin in the game and then we might actually take you seriously.

I can see why we have some here who like living in the great state of Tennessee

Not true, at least not in my case....I'm neither aligned with nor loyal to any particular party/religion... and I plan to stay that way.

In the States, if it bleeds it leads. If it's a feel good story about compassion and whatnot, yawn, it's the tale end of the news to let the people fall asleep.

Keep up the good work riverman! Many of us aren't self absorbed Aholes looking for shocking clickbait to distract us from vapid empty lives. Some people do good without expecting praise or even recognition.

Also ban Mrs. Doubtfire, Victor/Victoria, Tootsie and the song Gee Officer Krupke from West Side Story (my sister wears a mustache, my brother wears a dress).

A Missouri state legislator proposed a bill to ban teaching the Obergefell decision legalizing marriage equality.
