Crime rates have plummeted since the 90s, but the reporting of it has increased drastically. Every city that voted to "defund the police" in 2020 ended up reversing course once the rancor died down and ended up refunding and increasing police funding afterwards. You think crime is rampant and unsolved because the TV tells you so.

I prefer an individual's rights. If an individual and their parents make a decision that is supported by a licensed doctor I don't believe the law has any place getting involved.

Doctors can lose their license for performing and subscribing unnecessary treatments.

If somebody had gotten gender-affirming care and regretted it later it would be all over the news. It would be rammed down our throats mercilessly by the right. Since it's not, it's very obviously not a problem.

Expecting the law to control our medical procedures is simply begging for fascism and authoritarianism.

Medical care isn't child abuse and you have been brain poisoned if you think so.

Conservatives want to push trans people back into the closet and will slander the medical community who care for them as child abusers who deserve to be shot in order to do so. Real cool society you're advocating for.

0.4% of folks who transition end up detransitioning, and a good chunk of them cite right-wing rhetoric and risk of violence as a cause -- not that they decided they were no longer trans.

Conservatives find every detransitioner they can and amplify them as much as possible to attempt to paint a picture. And it obviously works, given the kind of things you see people say.

And child abuse isn’t medical care. Some adult-child’s fantasies and peter pan complex being projected onto children is disgusting. Like i said…there is no way you have children. Affirming mental illness is not medicine. It’s like telling schizophrenic patients the shit they see is real and they should lean into it.
