Imagine if Democrats would stop trying to restrict rights or attack anybody and just fully break from the health insurance industry...

Universal healthcare would almost certainly improve nearly every problem we have in this country.

Then universal education (including college and vocational school).

Then restrict real estate ownership to US citizens and immigrants who live here (and you need to become a citizen to own more than one property).

Language in House Republicans’ most recent funding bill for the Health and Human Services Department would do just that — ban money from any federal program to entities that do “social transitioning” or drugs and surgery for “gender dysphoria.” Gender dysphoria is the specific diagnosis doctors use to justify those medical interventions. This legislation has not gotten a vote yet and would need to be reintroduced next Congress to be considered.

The trick they’re pulling here is holding everyone’s health hostage and daring democrats to defend trans people at the cost of everyone’s health needs.
