MS Now reports it's not just political prosecutions where Department of Injustice can't get grand juries to indict. In criminal cases including violent crimes grand juries are returning no bill because credibility of federal prosecutors is so low citizens just don't believe them. So they are undermining law enforcement and making communities less safe.

A Truckee, California man has been charged with eight counts of attempted murder. He deliberately drove his vehicle into a table set up in parking lot of local Safeway by 11 and 12 year old Little League baseball players and their moms, raising funds to attend a baseball tournament and a trip to national baseball Hall of Fame. The man had previously kicked the table over and when the group set it back up, ploughed into them. Four people, three of them children, were hospitalized; fortunately injuries not serious.

You could have bet on this one. People who gave us Project 2025, is launching a multi-million dollar campaign to overturn marriage equality. They claim without evidence children are better off in hetero families. Aside from not true, makes no sense. Even if you think that's true, taking away legal status from same sex couples with children isn't going to turn those parents straight.
 

Nazi Olympics T-shirts sell out​

IOC defends ‘heritage’ shirt celebrating games used by Hitler to promote the idea of Aryan supremacy

T-shirts displaying the poster of the Olympic games hosted in Nazi Germany have sold out on the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) website.

The 1936 Berlin Olympics, which took place when Hitler was in power, were used as a propaganda tool to promote the idea of Aryan supremacy and the Third Reich.

Figures in Germany have called on the IOC to stop selling the T-shirts on its website. The committee has defended the sale, however, saying the T-shirt is part of its heritage collection.

The IOC also faced criticism this week for disqualifying a Ukrainian athlete who wore a helmet commemorating his fellow athletes killed since the Russian invasion, under rules that restrict political statements during the games.

Despite the criticism, the men’s shirts have sold out in all sizes. By comparison, T-shirts depicting the games in Rome in 1960, Tokyo in 1964 and London in 1908 all remain in stock.

Seventy years after he was executed, Dallas County Commissioners voted unanimously to overturn conviction of Tommy Lee Walker. Walker, a 19 year old Black man, was executed for rape and murder of a white woman he had never met. The woman left work and started home by bus. She was found raped, beaten, her throat cut. Police say she identified her attacker as a Black man before she died but medical evidence showed her injuries would have prevented her from speaking. Walker at the time was with his girlfriend while she was in labor. Ten witnesses testified to that. The chief of homicide division was a member of Ku Klux Klan The prosecutor has had numerous cases overturned due to racial bias. He said publicly he worked to keep Blacks, Jews, Hispanics, Italian Americans and other "inferior" people off juries. An all white jury convicted him after 20 minutes of deliberation. His last words were "I am innocent".
 
Kentucky woman and her husband arrested for miscarriage. They went to ER and reported the woman miscarried and fetal remains at home. Police called by hospital. They said in public statement they found "unresponsive infant" at the home. The woman was actually only 18 weeks pregnant. She is charged with reckless homicide, improper disposal of a corpse, hiding evidence of a crime. Husband charged with concealing evidence. The couple's mug shot were splashed all over media. The bereaved woman is sobbing in hers.

This says they threw the remains over an embankment.

 
I have no idea what state of shock or disorientation they were in but big stretch to homicide
 
It’s as big of a “stretch” to say that the baby was found “at a home”. Cannot even imagine what state of mind the woman was in, cannot imagine the duress she was under or what crises she may have been going through. But saying it’s “at a home” is far from correct. And saying it the baby had been thrown (at least from that article) is also incorrect. But I’m sure where the baby was found is a big part of why the charges are what they are. Tragedy all the way around.

I grant improper disposal. Not murder. But fetal harm laws have resulted in numerous prosecutions of women, nearly all poor, mostly Black or Latina, after miscarriage. Assumption they must have done something wrong. And referring to an 18 week fetus, zero chance of survival on its own, as unresponsive infant makes me question credibility. More politics than law.
