Congrats guys.

I wouldn't say it was a precursor to Anime. More like the Simpsons, a cartoon for adults but obviously not a funny cartoon.

well, there was a lot of sex with hot animated chicks.

I just really remember the John Candy segment.

Just watched 'Stripes' on DVD.

Damn, I miss the Candyman.

I wish the SCTV DVDs were not so expensive. I have all the episodes on videotape, but they're all in storage, and will take a lot of digging to get to.

Also, Candy left SCTV for a season to do a show called 'Big City Comedy' that lasted 13 episodes, and was very funny. He did a lot of his 'Mr. Mambo' character, which was one of my favorites. Those episodes are somewhere in storage also. Tino Insano did a character called 'Uncle Sylvio' that was great.

Candy was terrific.

It looks like the parts of heavy Metal that don't include explicit sex are on youtube. The movie is a series of
vignettes that traces how an evil green orb affected history, or something like that.

here's one.

Did someone say hot anime babes?

Btw, Dumpy, when did Heavy Metal come out? I know that anime came out with series like Astro Boy and Speed racer(60's?)
