Plumlee needs to be traded before the deadline

He won't get it. The cap is not jumping up as much next year, so you won't see as many ridiculous contracts.

When Leonard and Mozgov got what they got, what makes you think a starting center who can handle the ball well isn't going to get 1.5 what they got?
Plumlee will get 15 mill a year.

The cap went up by 25 million last year, which is why contracts were inflated. It'll be going up less than 10 mil this year, so I don't think we'll see contracts on that level of silly this year. But maybe he will get 15 mil, I'd rather over pay him by giving him 15 then paying Leonard 10.

But with Portland being so far over the cap, I think they are out of the race.

There isnt just one option though Sin...
I know you and some others think that our roster is currently untradable... or the bulk of it, due to overpaying, but I disagree and the moment Leonard is traded in a package, it might very well be the plan to keep Plumlee and have him sign a 12-15 mill contract and come off the bench.
We move Crabbe, Leonard, Ezeli and there is plenty of room for him and Noel.

He has value. I think that we need to maximize it. We put the ball in his hands too much and take it out of CJs and Dames. We need a legit rim protector/roll man to play off Dame and CJ, not to act as a Point Center and be a creator.
They trapped Dame and CJ when they had the ball vs Clips last year. Dame/CJ were able to give Mase the ball and he was able to make plays. I believe he had 9 assists twice. We don't win that series without him.

In production per minute, Plumlee was our 2nd-best player last season, and is 3rd-best this season. Olshey better not give him away for free like he did Robin Lopez, or I'll get a pitchfork and run Olshey back to Los Angeles, all the way down I-5.

We don't win that series if Blake and CP3 stay healthy.

Or we do. Portland turned the momentum before Paul got injured. They were handling the clippers both home games. Clippers probably still win, but to say it would've been a sure thing is ignoring what was actually happening.
