Dude got the fuck beat out of him because he jaywalked, and removed his coat to show he had no weapons. That cop attacked him without provocation.

All for jaywalking

Taking off the coat could have been interpreted as a sign of aggresion. You also dont know if this person has a history with the local police. Again, not making excuses, but sometimes you have to take into account you dont know the whole story before making snap judgment emotional decisions.

Only if you're a bull.

If a sniper is tossing 7.62 at you, you're pretty much screwed regardless of the plates... there isn't a helmet yet that'll stop that.

I am afraid, even if you could make that magic helmet to stop the 7.62 round, a man would be dead for the shock anyway. Well over 2500 lbf of energy instantly stopped and absorbed
is way too much for the human anatomy to absorb. Perhaps a helmet 4' in diameter might be made of absorbent composite. (jest)

Still doesn't give the right to the officer to take the guy down (guy didn't resist) handcuff him then beat the shit out of him with a billyclub why he's on the ground his hands behind his back. I know there are good cops. That cop is not one of them. He abused his power, he commited a crime, and he got fired because of it. He's lucky he's not in jail like any other person would have been.

Like i said. No excuses for his behavior. But there could be more to the story.

Maybe, but it better be good, because it has to excuse that officer for chuck norrising that dude

No it doesnt. That cop made a judgement error and deserves to be fired and jailed. Im just saying im tired of people getting a cell phone video and claiming the other person is completely innocent. The narative is old. Im sure a lot of these "scandals" are people doing their best to provoke and the cop loses his cool. It's not an excuse for their behavior but im saying quit just saying all cops are corrupt and have a little sympathy for what they ALL put up with on a daily basis and be thankful that MOST of them handle it professionally.

Uh yes, that's what the 99% who aren't cops are thinking, as we read the ridiculous excuses in this thread for government thuggery.
Have you heard about the kill a cop challenge? Its like the ice bucket challange, but just a tiny bit more violent. But youre right, no reasons for cops to be on edge, they have cool vests with pockets.

Which apparently scares the simpletons in our society.

Because yeah...what's scary? Not terrorism....not wanted murderers on the run.....not drug cartels skinning people alive.....no, none of that....

A vest with pockets. THAT is the scariest.

Glad to see we have our priorities strait, America...
