Winning streaks a great and fun but they don't win championships.

Actually im pretty sure stats show to the contrary. First you have the immeasurable intangibles of the confidence builder a winning streak provides.
But lets look at the last few champs and see what streaks they had during the season.

Last year Cleveland had two 8 game winning streaks.
Golden State did start out 2ith 24 wins and didnt win it all, but they were in the finals.

Now lets look at the longest streaks in history:

LA...33 wins...finals win
Miami...27 wins....finals win
Houston...22 wins...SA wins, Houston outed in the first round
Milwaukie....20 wins...finals win
Lakers....19....finals win
Boston....19....Lakers win(Boston won the year before), Boston lost to Orlando in second round
Spurs...19...finals win
Atlanta...19...GSW wins, Atalanta, lost to Cleveland in the conference finals

So I skipped one that was before the merge... After this list are some more that go way back before the merge, but it is pretty telling that the common factor of the Champs is having one of , if not, the longest winning streak of that year.
Of the 8 examples above, 6 of the longest streaks went on to win the title.
Houston is an anomaly to an extent, as they were outed by a team that then was outed the next round. The only other in the list that didn't win was Boston, who had won the year before and went to the finals again but lost to the Lakers.

Winning streaks are a good indicator that the team who has the longest will be the ones standing when the dust settles at the end of the playoffs. Here is a list of all of the longest streaks. You will look down the list and see how many also won it all. Its pretty telling.
Foolproof, no. But very telling.

My father just emailed me:

Klay Thompson was at an autograph signing and someone brought him a toaster to sign. There is a funny picture of him with this thing. After he signs it, the Warriors go on a 10-0 winning streak. Demar DeRozan goes to an autograph signing event and someone brings a ….you guessed it, a toaster to sign. Since he signed it the Raptors are on a 10-0 winning streak.
Coincidence? I think not!!

Grab your toasters, microwaves, tea pots, crock pots, dishwashers, and refrigerators! Track down Lillard...he's got some autographing to do!

A lot of this depends on our schedule. Outside of our last month or so, I see no prolonged easy stretches in our schedule. Like... you need two homestands sandwiching an individual road game or two.

This is probably the most realistic shot at an extended win streak:

Tue, Mar 21 vs Milwaukee
Thu, Mar 23 vs NY Knicks
Sat, Mar 25 vs Minnesota
Sun, Mar 26 @ Los Angeles
Tue, Mar 28 vs Denver
Thu, Mar 30 vs Houston
Sat, Apr 1 vs Phoenix
Tue, Apr 4 @ Utah
Thu, Apr 6 vs Minnesota
Sat, Apr 8 vs Utah
Mon, Apr 10 vs San Antonio
Wed, Apr 12 vs New Orleans

And even there we have @ UTA right in the middle of it.

This is really hard to predict.

Couldn't predict it much better than that part of the schedule.
