Who's the other genius who voted for Prince? I know we got OneLife, BDSF, and myself. Who is the fourth!?

Paul probably has Neil on a short leash.

Yeah, that's why he just gave him a 3-year extension.

Seriously, you want to keep your GM on a short leash, you keep him on a series of 1-year contracts so you can dump him if he doesn't do your bidding. You don't extend him for 3 more years.

Lol for what? They need a PF to tank properly? I think not having a PF helps them tank! Philly is going to tank for at least one more season after this one. They can get long term pieces out of FA, they don't need trades this season to do that.
No for their future bro... But T.Rob isn't good enough to win them games right now. He would get plenty of playing time in Philly, so he can develop into a decent big for next season

He has shown ZERO improvement since he entered the league. Something tells me all the PT in the world isn't going to make Thomas Robinson into a decent NBA big man.

All the more reason to trade him, if he has any value at all - even if his only value is as an expiring contract.

To the contrary, I think it more likely he would learn lots of bad habits, if not simply build on the ones he already has.

But by all means lets tell him it's for his own good. ;)

I wonder where his head is right now. After getting traded twice before the start of his second season, he seemed to welcome a little stability. But, he also seems like the kind of player who would rather be getting big minutes on a shitty team than buried deep on the bench on a contender.

What am I going to do with my T-Rob jersey if we trade him!?!?

El Prez, is that when I wear it and become uber cool because he's not even on the team anymore?

My inner voice (one of several) says T-Rob is an uncoachable dolt.

I don't think he's uncoachable, but he might be a dolt. His bball IQ is pretty poor. I still want him to succeed because he seems likeable and has gone through some serious personal stuff. I wouldn't hesitate in trading him however.

I have no idea what his work ethic is like, but he still makes rookie mistakes (forces bad shots, loses his man on defense, commits stupid fouls and unforced TOVs) and can't make a FT to save his life. When you see our other young bigs making great strides, it makes you wonder what Thomas has been working on, if anything, during the off season. When they came into the league TRob was light years ahead of Meyers Leonard - not so much because TRob was NBA ready, but because Meyer's so clearly wasn't. Now Meyers hasn't just caught and passed him he's practically lapped him.

Afflalo and Martin are 1a and 1b. I think, given the price, Prince would rank ahead of Chandler.
None of them are sure-fire additions that'll propel us to the Finals.

Afflalo might be. When he was with Orlando I viewed him in the same category as Wes.

I remember two years ago (?) he was balling in ORL. But aside from that I haven't really heard much about him.

He was great in orlando, especially last year. Averaged over 18 a game and really was a problem in the post, and shot over 40% beyond the arc.

Ah, was it last year? I knew it was recent, but I can't keep years straight any longer!
