Some of us, like me, wanted OKC--I didn't consider Westbrook a true superstar, their defense hadn't been great in the second half and they had been struggling offensively due to inconsistency which comes from lacking shooters.
I'd rather get the Spurs. There's a reason they dropped to the 7 seed--they're not all that great. Denver isn't a juggernaut, but plays at a high level more often than the Spurs. Plus, we'd have home court advantage against the Spurs, whereas Denver has the hardest to adjust to HCA.
“We” meaning the team. They tried to throw the last game of the season to avoid OKC.
I think both SAS and Denver have a plethora of guys to throw at Dame / CJ that arent their best players. I think that makes a huge difference. OKC would throw PG13 at Dame or CJ but that got him foul trouble a lot. Denvers a really deep team that can change up their line up to match up better without losing much.Very lonely on this island.
Interesting, I think Denver prepares them more roster wise and talent wise. I think SAS would be better preparation for coaching.I think Denver better prepares us for Golden State.
Hahaha! You already know manSimple question. Simple answer.
Please provide your reasoning.
I want SAS so we can send ANOTHER BITCH ON VACATION...

Let's not act like GSW isn't plaything like shit, not getting along, and has a hungry Houston team waiting for them. I hope that Clips series goes 7.
I'll be the first to vote Denver. I think Dame is more able to abuse Murray than White. I actually want to see if Kanter can play with Jokic. I think playoff Aminu is better than playoff Millsap. I think our perimeter defenders are better equipped to handle Murray/Harris/Barton than Derozan/Gay. And honestly, I want to be underdogs again.
Bring on the Nuggets.

Ok.
Then Denver will better prepare us for playing against the Clippers.
You don't think Houston will make it to the WCF of Golden State loses?
Ok.
Then Denver will better prepare us for playing against the Rockets.
Spurs are a terrible road team this season so there's that. The only tangible advantage between any two comparable teams is the home court advantage.

Best road teams this season are Bucks and Warriors (The respective conference leaders) and their away win rate is quite similar to Mavericks' home win percentage. So, there is that too.
Now that he's only got 2 stars he's just average like many coaches.obviously, the practical choice is the Spurs for all the reasons mentioned
the one mismatch I'd worry about would be Popovich vs Stotts
I honestly think Pop is on his farewell tour...I see him retiring to his winery in Oregon and enjoying life....since Duncan and Manu are gone his demeanor has changed...doesn't look like he's invested in it like he was before...SA is going to rebuild in my view. I could see Becky Hammon taking over there. Now that he's only got 2 stars he's just average like many coaches.
See I disagree with the preconcieved notion that its a coaching mismatch. If that were true, then we'd for sure be playing SAS cos Denver/Malone and Portland/Stotts have very little if anything separating the two.obviously, the practical choice is the Spurs for all the reasons mentioned

Not having Mo's defense after his injury for the New Orleans series was a huge setback...they just let Ed Davis become our offense....teams did that when we had Mason Plumlee as well...end of the game they'd be so open they'd be taking the important shots.See I disagree with the preconcieved notion that its a coaching mismatch. I wasn't happy with Stotts performance against Gentry but I wasnt too happy with Dame either.
I think both did good so far.
