yes it does cus as roy goes so goes the team
So your not satisfied with Roy? Fans really need to take a step back to reality. We are a good team that is extremely young and going through growing pains without two key contributors. WE ARE 10-5!!!! Damn we are becoming spoiled fans........If he has peaked and he's a top 5 player what would you like to do with him?
He's not a top-five player.
He's arguably a top-ten player based on last year's performance.
In my opinion there isn't more than 5 players I would trade him for.
Emotional attachments aren't part of how good a player is. In terms of on-court value, I'd say it's hard to place Roy ahead of any of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant or Dwight Howard.Roy peaked? Will he progress any further since now he has a fat payday?

I don't think Roy has peaked. I think the NBA has figured him out and he needs to adjust his game. He needs to add some things to his repertoire.
How has he adjusted his play? All he's doing is scaling it back and playing worse... An adjustment would imply improving in other areas to accommodate Miller's addition, rather than simply being less effective across the board. He has adjusted his game this season to accomodate Miller. Has the NBA already figured out this adjustment? If so, is it time for Roy to go back to his old style of play.
last year he took 66% jump shots. this year(through the 19th) he's taken 78% jump shots. How has he adjusted his play? All he's doing is scaling it back and playing worse... and i disagree that an adjustment would imply improvement.
Roy is an ISO player and has the option to shoot the J or drive to the hoop most every play. What % of his shots are J's has little to do with what role he is playing, rather with his decision making (and ball handling in traffic, which has been horrid this year).

it shows that roy is playing differently than he did last season. he's taking more jumpers. last season he took the smallest % of jumpers of his career. this season so far is the highest % of jumpers he's taken in his career. And the stat is meaningless unless you break it down to %'s with and without Miller in the starting lineup.
The absurdity in this question is not if Roy has peaked, but the mention that the reason he may not get better is because of his "fat paycheck".
I mean really, there are players who are lazy and then there is everyone else. What has Brandon ever done to indicate that he is the type of player who would stop pushing himself to get better.
It doesn't say why, however.it shows that roy is playing differently than he did last season. he's taking more jumpers.
