For now, Porter will serve as an "ambassador" for the Blazers, as Jerome Kersey has in the past couple of years.

He might be a decent offensive coordinator. If Williams got that job in Minny. Porter might have been a nice replacement for him.

According to 1080, he met with Larry Miller about a possible front office position with the blazers. Porter has done so much for this organization, town etc. It was him who was spearheading the search for a ownership group during the time Paul Allen was thinking about selling franchise. This town, franchise means a lot to him. He has proved it many times.

Wouldn't hurt to get his kat involved in some capacity.

I actually thought he was a decent (not great) coach also that just got hosed by the situations he found himself in. Not that I would want him as our head coach (at least not yet), but I think he would be best used working with our players. Perhaps he could take Bayless under his wings.
