Radio Playhouse was cancelled a few weeks back. It was on the air since late 1999 and KXJM gave the show the ax despite decent ratings. It's still #1 in a few other markets it's in.

My boy EWT who posts on here occasionally and works with me on the broadcasts produced the TV/Internet feed of that show. He kinda knew it was coming for awhile. I think they might be on again soon though. Not sure where, but I guess they have some leads.
 
Yeah, Ivan said they will be back soon on another "PDX station"
 
The Playhouse... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. It was good when it started, back with Sonny and Ebro... but has gone downhill ever since they left and especially when PK decided to hire that dipshit Egypt.
 
That show sucked. They weren't funny. I hate PK. The guy always came off as arrogant to me. Why doesn't anyone play music in the morning? Every station has some lame team of DJ's sitting around and cracking stupid jokes.

He is arrogant, very arrogant.
I'll give him credit for one thing, he is a Trail Blazer season ticket holder.
 
PK works his ass off. He was the brains behind the TV show and branching out to other markets.
 
he may work his ass off but he isn't very funny and was annoying to listen to. i saw the tv broadcast a few times and i can't understand how anyone could listen to that every morning.
 
Is that the show that had one of it's members make out with his own mother or something?

The way the guy talks, you'd think he was some good looking guy.... he looks like the guy from Everybody Loves Radymond only uglier.

He does work hard and is passionate about his job. But the dudes head is bigger then his ass, and if you've seen him lately, that's one arrogant dude! :lol:

Obviously you're opinion sucks and should be never look art seriously because last time i checked if the show is #1 on the ratings then its pretty damn good. I don't live in Portland anymore so I can't comment on the show itself, but using a #1 rating and popularity isn't the best defense for good "art."

'N Sync
Britney Spears
Creed

All of those "artists" have been number 1 at one point or another, and you won't convince me that because of that, they are automatically good.

I like the show. But, man, I'd be willing to bet that 'PKFAN' is either PK himself or a playhouse employee.

I liked her cousin Angola and Tanzania a lot better. Her Asian boyfriend named Niger was kind of a dick though. My brother Germany did not like the show very much, nor did my father Denmark.
 
pk is a fucking homo, glad that shit is gone, I wish PDX stations would just focus on the music and get rid of the god damned talking. this is 100% why i have SIrius/XM in my car, and NEVER have to listen to some douche bag DJ talking. Who the fuck turns on the radio to listen to some ass-hat speak? I sure as fuck dont. I want to listen to music, music, music!
 
There's nothing wrong with morning talk shows. I used to listen to the PH and got Sirius just to listen to Howard Stern.

Get Sirius/XM satellite radio. It cures all. It will fill any mood you are in. Sports talk, Howard Stern, comedy, music of all types....I can't stand to drive the other car that doesn't have it.

I hated the Playhouse. My wife loved it. PK is waaaaay too loud and obnoxious for early morning or late night listening.
