I find it annoying that they add "FC" after a team name.

Also that "Salt Lake Real" or whatever it is is named as it is.

It seems affected and fake.

What the hell is Replica City?

Are people from Replica City Replicates?

I'm going. I was a kid during the end of the soccer city USA era... and remember some great times at the civic stadium. Time to get my kids involved in some of that action.

got a question.. never been to a Timbers game.. but I figure this is as good as time as any to go to one. How do I get near 107 What tickets do I have to buy? I looked at GA ticketson ticketmaster.. but it gave me seats and stuff too for them.. kinda confusing.

The entire North End of the stadium is general admission. So, basically anywhere along what is typically the third base line for baseball is GA for soccer. They've changed that in the past for big-time exhibition matches, but I don't foresee them making any changes for this match.

This match is seriously going to be epic. Nobody should miss it.

I can't wait until we're up 2-0 in the second half, with the entire north end chanting:

You call this
M...L...S?

Over and over.

Fuck the Sounders and their manufactured "atmosphere" with marching bands and fog machines. They will see what true support looks like on 7/1.

im thinking about getting some tickets to this game

still quite a few GA seats.. I'd get in on this one.. we could have drunken idiots like game 1 lol.

This should be an epic match vs Seattle. I just witnessed the Timbers spank the Minnesota Thunder 5-1 this friday evening (June 19th, 2009). It all started with a red card issued on a Thunder defender in the box for the Timbers to take a 3-1 lead with about 50 minutes into the second half. After that another red card and a yellow card followed. With the last 2 minutes in regulation the Thunder were down two players and then three players. The fourth and fifth goals for the Timbers came within two minutes of the end of the game. Insane.

trying to order on that site Pop. You think I can get something by the Sounders match?

Well mostly those are pretty informal merchandise sellers. I think you could probably make plans to meet up with someone to purchase before the match. There are a few bars close by to PGE where the Timbers Army frequent, and my guess is you'll be able to pick up a scarf then. But you could verify that on the forum I linked to.

It's off of 18th Avenue (the street with the MAX tracks), right on Taylor Street. Pretty easy to find; a short walk from the park.

There is actually a tailgate and BBQ behind the Bull Pen on Sunday the 28th. It's a great place to find Timber Army merchandise. Scarfs/t-shirts/pins/drunk chics. Seriously, the match against Seattle will be beyond epic. Just remember, if you are a Newbie to Timber games, do not sit in sections 104-108 if you don't want to stand up and scream the whole time. It's agreed that those are standing sections. When I go with my kids, we usually try to sit a couple sections over so we can feel the atmosphere, but they can still see the game.

Almost there to game day! Where do most people park to get to PGE?
