Portland to sign....

meh.

He does have range for a big man. Hybrid 4.

I'd rather of had Dwayne Jones, but Barron and Marks were 2a and 2b for me on that lousy list of guys they put together.

Meh is right. I'd rather just give the back-up 4 minutes to Dante Cunningham and Luke Babbit and wait for Joel to return. Marks is a poor rebounding, weak defending, soft, jump shooting big man. I'm not really sure what he brings to this team.

A fellow Aussie to keep Patty entertained??? Maybe this was a Paul Allen move?

So, whats the over under on him retiring this month?

And will it happen before or after he blows out his knee?

Maybe they wanted someone who wouldn't hurt the other guys in practice.

I watch it more than a little bit. I don't follow college though. But I did see him kill us in Phoenix. That season, I saw NBA games live in Phoenix, Portland, Houston, Dallas, Indiana, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minnesota, Cleveland, New York, Sacramento, Atlanta, New Orleans, Boston, Orlando, Miami, and Los Angeles (both teams) that season. I'd say I watch MORE than a little bit.

How come you said its the first time you've ever heard of the guy?

I believe he's saying that the game he linked was the 1st time he heard of the guy.

Funny thing to think about that game. There are 2 players currently on the Blazers who were on the team that night (and played). And 1 Phoenix Suns player.

talk about turning over a roster!!

ahhhh gotcha.

he linked a Suns-Blazers game dated April 16th 2008 as the first time he heard of him. In that loss for Portland, Marks had 16 points 13 rbs in just 24 minutes. That might have been his greatest game ever in the league.

Marks has played 55 games over 9 NBA seasons, averaging about 6 games a season... it's understandable how a guy like that could fly under the radar

Roses are red, and ready for plucking
You're Sean Marks, and ready for a patella injury.

Maybe we can harvest his body parts and give them to Greg?

I guess the criteria for replacement big was "must have two functional knees." I hope he has a good health care plan.

Might as well sign Paul Hogan if that's the goal.

BNM

...if you want entertainment, then Paul Brogan would provide much more than Paul Hogan.

I noticed that, too. I also noticed the Suns starters hardly played, and they still kicked our ass.

this would all make sense IF he was Australian, which he isn't. He's from my country, New Zealand.

as far as production levels, who knows. but as a team mate he's had many many props from his last teams, timmy d loved him to death.

Championship!!!!

It's a 12th man for practice. I hope he doesn't hurt any of our bigs in practice
