Portland Trail Blazers rebuild, what do you think?!

We are going into summer #3 of the full rebuild process. I call it 3 AA (After Aldridge) when he left we were considered to be a bottom 5 team and yet we've made the playoffs both seasons since, and we are still in rebuild as our starting lineup isn't really set yet.

Why does it feel like we are ubdervaluing the trio of Turner, Harkless and Aninu at the 3?

I have not given up on Jake. He is the best outside shooter of that group and has the best hops. I hope after some trades he will enter the 3 deep. Players usually improve quite a bit from year 1 to year 2.

The best way to get rich is to win the lottery, then instead of investing, you take your lottery winnings and buy scratch offs...

In response to the OP:
So Reggie Miller's career was flushed down the toilet?
So John Stockton's career was flushed down the toilet?

If Dame is happy being the Blazers version of Miller/Stockton, I'd be happy with that too. I'd rather he be our David Robinson/Tim Duncan, but I'll take Miller/Stockton over Porter/Clyde.

That simply can't be true. The Rockets and Timberwolves got better, there is no way that the Blazers improved, at all.
HOU was already better than us, so their improvement doesn't affect our standing.
LAC was better than us, and now they most certainly are NOT. +1
MIN was worse than us, and now on paper might be better than us. +0/-1

Just looking at these three teams, the worst case scenario is +0, best case scenario +1.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with SAS, MEM, and UTH. This is where we might make some real ground in the standings. I have to think we'll be better than MEM at the very least. UTH seems primed to follow in our foot steps - have a great year, followed by disappointment. SAS always seem to find a way to stay at the top, but how are they going to do it this time? With Parker/Ginobli breaking down, and no legitimate talent outside of Kawhii/Pau, Pops is in a really tough position.

Harkless is decent as a player, but I would argue much better than decent for our needs.
Turner sucked last season - I'm really hoping he turns it around in Season #2. If Turner turns into a net positive player, then we will be fine at SF.
Aminu is a train wreck.
