This will affect teams that are banged up going into the playoffs with high seeds.....might benefit those with fresh legs

It said re-seeding the conference finals only I believe. So that would prevent the lower seed from getting home court in the conference finals.

What I think would be great would be keeping 8 teams from the west and 8 teams from the east then seeding 1-16 for the playoffs.
Could have been Blazers vs Lakers in the finals in 2000 for example, or golden state might not even have made it to the finals last season.

They should have a slam dunk contest at the start of the season too and whichever team wins it cant shoot 3 pointers the entire season but their dunks count as 3 points.

Then a 3 point contest mid season and the team who wins can only shoot from 40 feet but any 3's they hit with 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter will award 9 points and lower the price of hot dogs in the stadium by 10 cents for each made 3 pointer.

Keep the changes really rolling, keep the game fresh and exciting!

About 5 years after Adam Silver retires, everyone will look back and say “wow, that guy sucked ass.” but for now he is being propped up by the media while he destroys the NBA with politics and foreign influence.

78 games is a good idea. Everything else is dumb.

The 78 games is so they can add games with the in in season tourney

The in season tourney is all fine and dandy until the first player gets hurt in it.

I like the other ideas.

For the all star weekend I would love to see a fastest man competition. Dribbling baseline to baseline. I think it would get super competitive

Actually it looks like the NBA would be re-seeding the four conference finalists from one through four. I think that would be a great idea.
It didn’t say it clearly though to me....
“The reseeding of teams in the semifinal round based on regular-season record could give the NBA a championship series that includes its best two teams. ”

Sounds like the problems with China aren't going away, the league is very worried, so they're trying to think of ways to expand TV revenue.

Charge 5 home team fans $100 each during free throws to shoot Nerf guns at the player who is shooting.
I've been doing that at the screen for years....amazing how often it pays off....I use the classic rubber dart gun that sticks to the screen...my dart gun is responsible for Shaq's free throw woes..

Simple solution. Have a less weighted schedule.

Play everyone in your own division 4 times, everyone else twice. If my math is right (correct me if I'm wrong, because I suck at math like this), it'd be 66 total games.

58 (29 opponents x 2 games =58), and then 8 games per division (2 extra games x 4 opponents).

Would cut down on back to backs, but could make it so the playoffs are seeded 1-16 not 1-8 vs 1-8.

They'd never go for it, since it eliminates 16 games (and 8 home games) of revenue. But maybe it'd make the games seem more important.

Also if they did this, they'd need to re-align the western conference. It's idiotic that Portland is in the NW division, considering they're the only team in the NW. Put them in the Pacific, and move Phoenix out of the pacific. They're A: further from the Pacific ocean and B: further east than Portland. It makes no sense that Phoenix isn't in the same division of Utah and Denver.

There should be enough mid season tournaments that every team wins one.

"Tonight on TNT, the February mid mid season tournament champion vs the March almost end of the month season tournament champion!"
