Blake:

Best: Always hitting the big three pointer last season and some of this season.

Worst: Air balling big threes versus Houston in the playoffs, some really bad turnovers this season.


Outlaw:

Best: That shot to beat Memphis that started our winning streak, also the shot versus Atlanta. Only slightly lesser so, every big shot he's ever canned.

Worst: Every Darius Miles-esque fast break where he would get the ball at the free throw line and just plow into his defender and lose the ball. Every interview he's ever done.
 
Blake:
Best: Game winner against Toronto.
Worst: Almost every attempt to inbound the ball on the first try with less than a minute remaining in a tight game.

Travis
Best: Dunk over Yao, some big shots in the fourth.
Worst: In a game against Golden State last year, I believe, he got three offensive fouls within two quarters on the same exact play: two on one fast break where he just ran right over the single Warrior.
 
Blake

Worst: Stepping out of bounds while catching the ball on the wing in almost every game

Best: Hitting the game winner last season on the Raptors

TO

Worst: His lack of hustle fighting for boards on a consistent basis

Best: His dunk on Yao a few years back
 
Blake
Best: His 14 assists in a quarter against the Clippers and his last game against Phoenix. The best two games of his career right there
Worse: Airball against Houston in the playoffs

Outlaw
Best: His clutch shot-making, and ability to create his own shot. The dude did hit a lot of game winners for us.
Worst: His continued inability to rebound for a guy who's 6-9 and can jump out of the gym, and not getting it done in the playoffs last season.
 
Blake

Best: 14 assists in a quarter...

Worst: Trying to be the hero in the Houston series with his crazy three

Blake

Best: Bank Shot against Memphis

Worst: Worst defender on our team by far, in terms of help defense, and also a very poor poor rebounder
 
Some of mine were already posted, but another favorite memory is the time Travis dunked over Yao a few years back.
 
My favorite memories of Outlaw are still from his first two seasons. You'd be watching League Pass, and the other team's announcer would say something like, "The Blazers are down by 20 and it looks like they've thrown in the towel. In comes Bo Outlaw and Omar Cook.....(insert name) drives down the middle, goes up for the dunk and OH MY! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM? That Outlaw kid just took off from out of nowhere and swatted that ball into the fifth row. I mean he REALLY elevated! Just some amazing athleticism!"

Such a shame we developed him at a time when we were desperate for star talent. The Blazers naturally tried to turn him into one, focusing on his jumpshot (because he was really too stupid to do anything else with the ball). In another time, like right now, maybe we'd have tried to mold him into a shot blocker/rebounder defensive role player. A hustle guy like Ruben Patterson, but without the asshole attitude.

I wish him luck. He's a decent player and seems like a really great teammate. I have some great memories of him taking those game-winners against Atlanta and others. But it hurts a little to think about how freakishly athletic he was as a 19 year old, and how he never used any of it on this team to do anything but rise up and take contested 17 footers. It's an impressive shot he can create, but he could've created so much more.

As for Blake, I'm not going to wax too much poetic about his passing. We acquired him, traded him, acquired him, traded him. He's a boomerang employee--the kind of guy in every good organization who doesn't fit at some points, finds a place somewhere else, but always seems to find his way back. I bet within two years he's a Blazer again. He won't have as prominent a role (think Steve Kerr when he played here), but he'll be back.

I'll write up an obit about his Blazer years when they are indeed over.

Probably because his wife wants to be here, and if we've learned anything about NBA players, it's that their wives wear the pants in the family. Doug Christie, Hedo, and Steeeeeeeve Blake.

I don't think so. I think Travis is gone for good. Blake might be back, but Travis will want to go somewhere and see if he can be a star. To my knowledge the guy still has the same townhouse in Tualatin, so it's not like he ever dropped a bunch of money to put down roots. I could easily see him leaving LA after this season and signing with Memphis or NY.
 
Hmmm. Did anybody ever notice how many of Blakes best times were against the Clippers? Coincidence?

Best: His very last game in a Blazer uni where he took Nash out behind the woodshed.
Worst: Every single fast break he ever tried to lead.

Outlaw:
Best: Memphis shot at the buzzer.
Worst: Every single time he passed up an open 3 to take a fade away 20 foot jumper.
 
Blake:
Best = Game winner in Toronto. 2nd best - that game he just had against the Suns - what a way to end his Blazer career. His best game, by far, this season.
Worst = Missing 4 of 5 FTs in the final 20 seconds of regulation that would have sealed a win over the Clippers (ironically) on 12/12/2008. Instead, the Blazers lost on double-OT. That was the only game we saw the Blazers lose last season.

Travis:
Best = Game winner over Memphis that started the 13-game winning streak. 2nd best was the slam over Rodney Carney that ignited the crowd in the 4th quarter of 13th consecutive (and final) win of that same winning streak.
Worst = A couple years back against against Phoenix. He had a chance to win the game with a dunk, but hesitated, changed his mind in mid-air and clanged a finger roll. Typical Travis decision making. He's great when he can justy play and not think about it (which is why I never complained about him shooting too much - just let 'er rip, don't hesitate and don't think about it). When he has to make a decision, look out. Trouble is on the brew.

Best: Steve's hard work and community service, and Travis's roadies.

Worst: The term "'Zers" was contractually attached to the both of them, and I must say I'm glad to see it go... ;)
 
Steve:
Best -- the game winner against Toronto
worst -- five missed FTs to lose the game to the Clips

Travis:
Best -- tied: Game winner against ATL two years ago and posterizing Rodney Carney
Worst -- every janky, off-balance, fade-away 21 footer whether it went in or not.
