No magic. Turnout. Seems @Galakelife is implying the 2020 election was rigged?
If so I am done engaging with him/her/them. I prefer reality based community.

Those 6 million voters showed up to fire Trump. Unfortunately Biden was who Dems chose. There was never much of a chance that Biden or anybody on his staff were going to turn out those 6 million voters again. Not out of fear of Trump, which was the only compelling argument they really made.

They needed to get the population motivated by offering positive change. They needed to have a real primary with several debates and actually pick the most popular tested candidate.

They need to stop catering to the wealthy. The people they need just aren't going to support that.

Is it possible that Biden was so bad on the border and made Harris the "border tsar" so he could nominate her and screw Democrats if they made him quit? Probably not, but it couldn't have been more effective if it were deliberate.

But you believe in science, how do you explain the extremely high voter turn out in 2020, and then 6 million less 4 years later.
So the record turn out for Biden decided that Trump wasnt that evil and didnt vote in 2024?

Trump was a disaster. Those 6 million people showed up to fire Trump. Then Democrats proceeded to go back to the same strategy that lost to Trump the first time.

It's pretty simple to see, actually.

Biden's debate with Trump easily lost him that many votes...it was so obvious that they benched him before the election...duh. Science has zero fucks to give about voter counts...see Georgia and the GOP hunt for votes in 2020..seee election workers stripped of their dignity and livelihood by sleazy Rudy trying to create conspiracy theories out of nothing.

Data don't lie. Covid disaster fresh in peoples minds drove the election turnout. Any other solution requires someone somewhere somehow inventing millions of votes that no recount or legal case has been able to discover.

Everyone came out to vote against Trump in 2020.

Trump didn't get many more votes in 2024 than he did in 2020. People just didn't show up like they did for the Dems in 2020. Tired of all of it.
 
At this point I don’t give a fuck if the election was rigged or not. If Biden rigged the election fucking good for him! The Republican Party cheats every which way but loose at everything! They’re all nihilist grifters looking for the next sucker. Wish one of those grift victims had actually offed Trump just so we wouldn’t have to deal with this bullshit but we don’t get anything nice in this fucking timeline.

You never were good at grasping basic concepts were you?

Trump is an awful person. This is a fact, not an opinion. You voted for a felon.

In 2020, during a pandemic, people saw his response. People saw his inaction. That made them come out in droves. It's really that simple. In 2024, Biden and democrats, et al, fucked up royally. We were given a new candidate without a primary. People got super turned off by that and it created apathy, or inaction. Thus, lower numbers.

Again, though, you voted for a felon and a proven disgrace to the country, so I can see why that VERY simple thing can fly by you. It's not a conspiracy, and you don't operate with logic.
 
Trump and co president Musk, according to several sources, are enamored with the idea of abolishing the postal service and using private for profit companies. This would cost hundreds of thousands of people their well paid union jobs and benefits. Replaced by lower paid and part time workers. Rural areas, both homes and businesses , would be especially hard hit. Sparse and scattered population makes profitable delivery service impossible, which is why it's a government function. They would disproportionately lose jobs and service. Rural communities overwhelmingly supported Trump.

But at least they won't have to worry about a transgender congresswoman using the ladies room.
 
Trump threatened lawsuit against Iowa media who published incorrect pollster prediction. He threatened lawsuit against Bob Woodward. He said there will be more legal actions against any media who opposed him.

Congress worked out spending deal to keep government open until March. Elon Musk said he didn't want it. So then Trump said he didn't want it. So then Republicans don't want their own bill.

Musk said government should shut down until inauguration. No social security, military aren't paid, bills aren't paid and accrue interest. So what? Doesn't affect him.

Trump cares about his ego and his wealth. His only policy is get brown people out of the country. Musk is in charge.

Rand Paul floats Elon Musk for Speaker

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) suggested Elon Musk serve as Speaker in a Thursday morning post on X following contentious debates over the continuing resolution (CR).

“The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress . . . ,” Paul wrote.

Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) said she would be open to supporting Musk to replace Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in a post quoting Paul.

“I’d be open to supporting @elonmusk for Speaker of the House. DOGE can only truly be accomplished by reigning in Congress to enact real government efficiency,” Greene wrote on X.

“The establishment needs to be shattered just like it was yesterday. This could be the way,” she added.
