Potential Moda Center Upgrade Renderings

Saying that Bend, K Falls, etc don't benefit from the Moda Center is insane. The general fund helps them, correct? The economics of what the Moda Center adds to the state puts $ in the general fund.
That's a fair point.

Individuals pay the tax, not counties. The individuals in the parts of the state that don't benefit at all from the economic and cultural impacts of the Blazers don't want to pay to entertain a bunch of city slickers. Maybe folks who live more than 2 or 3 hours away could be exempt in order to get the votes needed.

OK. Then wipe out to those far away from Portland of the benefits of all the $ that the Portland area adds to the state funds and see how that goes for them.

That's impossible. I was merely saying, those people won't look at it that way. It may be necessary to let folks in Ontario and Lake and Malheur Counties off the hook to get their representatives to vote to advance the bill. And since it's been shown that their meager populations' total tax contribution to the Blazers would barely amount to a drop in the bucket, I have no problem with excluding them.

When the big bands come to town, a solid % of the tickets sold come from people 2+ hours away from the Moda Center.
Garth Brook, Zach Bryan, Blink 182, Eric Church, Billie Eilish, Jelly Roll, Blake Shelton, etc etc. So don't tell me that Portland is the only people who enjoy & use the Moda Center.
I wonder how many WWE fans who attend those shows are from the outskirts of Portland? 😜
