By the way I have a 10 month old son and I can't imagine what you are going through best to you and your son!

Now the damn doctor is saying he might have to have surgery today. What the hell??? Lack in communication sucks... this is not cool.
 
I have now sent about 20 minutes of Reiki to you and your son. I will continue to send Reiki over the next couple of days as time allows. Blessings on you and your son, may he heal from this and make a full and complete recovery.

I have a one year old and can't imagine what you're going through -- thoughts and prayers are with you.

For what it's worth, I've known a fair number of neurologists (guessing that's who you might be working with) and they're generally some of the smartest people around. Their frequent weakness is that they're not so good at thinking about things from the view of the patient (or patient's parent). While you obviously want to keep the relationship with the doc positive, make sure you ask a lot of questions and make them explain things until you feel pretty solid about the situation.

Yeah lots of doctors have terrible social skills... but I can tell they know what they are doing and they make me feel okay.

Thank you all for your prayers. We should find out by noon if he needs the brain surgery.

Still waiting to see if we need surgery. Doctors are so slow... it is getting annoying because they are not letting him eat. I am about to feed him and I don't care what they say.
 
Let us know about the surgery schedule, and what support you would find most helpful.

I too am a reiki master. We can direct our treatments to arrive at a specific time in the future....say the moment he awakens from surgery, or while he undergoes surgery....or for you during the time you have to wait while he is in surgery.

Thank you very much. I just found out that we have to wait another day and do another cat scan tomorrow morning. So we will be here all night again.

Once I get a surgery date and time, I will for sure either message you for your reiki or post on this thread.

My sister is very interested in reiki too. She is here with me.

It is really hard, trust me. I want to do something about it so bad. But I have to leave it in Gods hands.

I just found out today that his kids got taken away from him, too. Also, I found out today that the Police asked him to give a polygraph test and he declined it. Then immediately hired a lawyer. Kind of suspect if you ask me.
 
Yeah, he is fucked if he declined a polygraph and hired a lawyer.

I hope they lock his bitch ass up. Child beaters aren't accepted well in the prison yard. :]

And yeah, child abusers will get an ass kicking in prison. Especially since he is a police officer himself. A child beater piggy??? Convicts wont like that.

Yeah. He is also a Purple Heart Marine. He was injured in combat in Iraq. Something is up with him though. He got fired from Hillsboro department and now Woodburn is hesitant to hire him. Not really sure whats up with that though.

I am pretty sure my sons mom didn't hit him. She is not a hitter. When we first got together, she had a 6 month old daughter. I helped raise that girl till she was about 3 and a half, and her mother never once hit her.

Have the doctors said the injury is suspicious? Have they called Children Services? How was the injury discovered? Do you have a lawyer? If the guy is a cop he's going to blame you.

yeah I been trying hard as I can to stay strong for him. I am pretty used to it now. Been in the hospital so much lately. Thanks for the love man.

Of course. DHS, Police... everyone has been notified and there is an indefinite no contact order against his mother and I have full custody.

I am not even a suspect because all this happened when Alec (my son) was in Salem with my ex wifes boyfriend. I had him 3 days a week, they had him 4. He was injured on their watch. There is no way that I am a suspect at all. But I do appreciate your concern.

The injury was discovered when the boyfriend called 911 when my son "randomly passed out" on September 3rd, then he was driven up to OHSU from Salem.

I do not have a lawyer, I do not really need one. This is an obvious case.

The guy and my sons mother are not blaming me. We are not in a fight or anything. We keep it civil. His mother and I that is. I have never spoke to the boyfriend besides casual encounters.
