Really they are gonna start Wesley Johnson over Luc Mbah A Moute and Pierce

That is like saying how dare we start Project Pat over Montero.

Like it matters one way or another. Personally I do think Wes overall is slightly better than Luc and Pierce has a foot in the grave at this point. He shouldn't even be part of the discussion. But they are all horrible compared to most people's starting SF's.

Look bro.... I had a talk with Denny and he was thinking maybe I'd take turns starting threads with you this season. I think it's only fair that I have a chance to share my creativity and design skills!
Are you really trying to get your win prediction correct to the point you're willing to jinx the team? I'm going to start calling you HC-Speed.

I love Dame as much as the next guy, but even he knows that Chris Paul is his daddy. All y'all voting for Lillard in this poll are crazy.

I'm nervous about the game. Why? We tend to lose when I REALLY want it, and I'd LOVE it if we won by 20 - it'd be another crack in their armor. Would love to see them come apart.

LMFAO. I got a good gut laugh out of that.

Least favorite team of the upcoming season, easily.......and THEN they added Felton on top of that.

Wrong again egg-laying mammal.
Chris Paul may 'out play' Lillard most of the time, but those are times that don't matter. Chris Paul is an epic big-moment choker, Lillard not so much.

Dame only gets aren't up by cp3 because of dames terrible pick and role defense which is what Chris Paul lives off of. Picks and mid range jumpers or lobs to Blake or DJ.

That picture is not the Stiemsma we have known and loved for so many years.

Not just talking about head-to-head (which favors Paul) or crunch-time (which favors Lillard), but overall. Paul is a better distributor, defender, ball-handler, and shoots a better percentage. Even last year, in Dame's best season, with Paul on the decline, the advanced stats were so clearly in Paul's favor it's not even funny.

Taking into account their career arcs, how they are two different kinds of guard, and other aspects, I'd say that, at the end of this season we'll say, "they were equals."

All true and good points, but..... this is a classic case of "other things being equal" and they're not.

Lillard doesn't have TWO of the most athletic players in history to throw lobs to. Lillard has played for a crappier team, and thus has has way more responsibility that Paul. Also, you point out several important things that Paul is better than Lillard at. There are many things Lillard is better than Paul at, too, including leadership (which is pretty damn important).

Personally, I didn't vote because I don't think the answer is clear cut, but, you know.... F--- Chris Paul.
